I was wondering. What kind of a team are they? Do they have good players? Will Ahn be a regular first team player?

They are not bad but still far from teams like Lyon or Monaco ... and Ahn Jung-Hwan will be a starter because Hervé Tum and Gueye are injured ..

Yes, because FC Metz is not a team with stars ... they are each years trying to avoid relegation ...

How is "Metz" pronounced? Is it like the Baseball team "Metz" or is it actually closer to "Mess"?

Essvee, you should ask your newfound friend, Kanuck. He speaks Canadian French, I think. :D

I hope to catch some Mess game this year on TV. But by the looks of it, they may not show too many of Metz games on TV. :(

yes and i speak French because i am from Québec :D. FM 2005 puis Boom, it's good to see you here. j'ai toujours pensé qu'il était prononcé comme Messe - no?

he he he :D. well just in case you were wondering, written French is universal, but spoken French has many dialects and lots of slang from region to region (same as KOR). there is a proper French we speak here in Québec, that you use in school, at work (depending what profession you are in) and that you hear being presented in the evening news. BUT by and large, the French we speak casually here is a disgrace. we even swear completely differently.

Yeah, the announcers on Fox Sports Channel say 'Mess', but FC Mex/Metz/Mess/Maybe are never on. If they are, must be regional or something. Every french league game on FSC is Paris-St.Germain or Lyon.

Pretty darn arrogant and stupid of Ahn to outright say he vetoed a 2-year contract from Metz because he would like to transfer to a bigger league.

That'll win the supporters over real well.

With that said, I hope he comes back to his old form of the past.
