So what's longer, the list of clubs you hate or the list of clubs you don't hate? Eredivisie clubs, of course.

It's bad enough to play against such an ultra-conservative counter attacking side that purely lives off refereeing mistakes. But how would you feel if an opponent nearly caused an Ajax player a career-ending injury without said opponent even getting carded for it? And then to have your opponent's coach take the culprit off five minutes before full time so that he can get some extra applause from his adoring home fans?

Of course I would be upset about it -- I recall being angry last year at AZ when Steks was mugged and the goal (that ended up costing us the championship) was allowed, in spite of the fact that Steks needed five minutes of treatment. I'm not trying to have a go at you for that. I'm legitimately curious about how many clubs you like and how many you don't. That's all.

You shouldn't take everything I write out of anger seriously. The only clubs I genuinely hate are Vitesse, Ajax and Heerenveen.

If I recall correctly, you once said you hated 010 as well. That's still a relatively short list in any event. Something to work on. ;)

I respect Feyenoord as a club. What I don't respect is their fans consistently intimidating the media, the Dutch FA, and even their own players and coaching staff, and getting away with it.

Davids is a little bold in his tackling from time to time.

The new home and away kits been released today. Both FC Groningen and NAC Breda entered in a partnership with LNL Sportswear to create their own kits, instead of using one of the common brands...

    I like it...
The green stripes have been broadened, something that many fans (including myself) wanted for a long time.
It'll probably take a while to get used to the purple/green combo in the away kit, but I like the fact that they kept the same design but in different colors. Home or away, we'll always have the prolific vertical green stripes.
FC Groningen players will also be playing with fixed numbers and their name on the back.

They look great. And we get to keep a lot more from the shirt-swindle as well!

It is a little know fact that FC Groningen has always been very entrepreneurial, FC Groningen Media selling all sorts of services to other clubs for example.

    NB.

Ajax signs adidas for 10 million a year! Howzthat!?

Sure is. Hope we get to keep him for the rest of this season!! In any case, I hope we get a decent price...10+ at least.

That's what we thought two years ago....

I'm still not convinced by this FC Groningen, looking at how we play. But it's nice to have a good start, with our annual autumn depression still ahead of us....

I'm not convinced either - but I catch myself looking at page 819 rather often lately :D just enjoying it while it lasts. But, in any case, the league is so much more enjoyable when a club like ours can be top dog.

What about the 35k stadium? What do you reckon?

Hope so too, but by the time his tally is between 15 or 20 or so we'd be very lucky to keep him another year. But -- oozing convidence -- if there is another Berg somewhere in the deep dark depths of Scandinavia, Nijland and his boys will fire up the VW Transporter and get him over to Uncle Ron.
