Any time they rescind a card or suspension like that, there needs to be review and consequence for the ref who caused it. These refs have such a long leash before they meet anything that costs them. If spotting certain action on the field is difficult, then VAR should be allowed to review any red card situation including double yellow.

We’ve been ripped off twice in a row in Portland. I’m very annoyed. Oddly, we played better after the red card, but also, the ForestKillers didn’t score until after the red card.

I get that the ref’s job is tough, but how did he miss what should have been Pelle earning a PK?!

We need better refs. But that costs money.

    Oh, and F#$& Dallass!!

IIRC that foul on ‘Grino was a two-handed shove to the ground off the ball. In general it seems like refs allow too much of this crap, and also bear hug kind of stuff on corners. Not just MLS but I see it everywhere. It’s now standard practice to shove a target forward who’s receiving a ball back go goal. Jebo used to get pushed virtually to the ground trying to receive the ball and usually it goes uncalled. I don’t see how it helps the game to allow American football or wrestling kinds of moves in soccer. If we want more scoring how about not allowing that kind of crap.

I don’t see much of that in HS ball, because they don’t like to concede PKs.

How will having two games only three days apart affect the lineup? Are we likely to get the b team tomorrow? Especially given the weather in Dallas?

    (Too many questions...)

Pelle was in the box about to take a header on a cross. The cross was to Pelle! There’s zero chance that the the ref didn’t see that. Not an off the ball foul my friend.

OK FCKD. Are we going to beat them? They are just behind us on PPG. And they have two games in hand on us. But they are not having a good season. Neither are we for that matter.

    Go Quakesfans!!

That is a first, I think? Viewing party that I could walk to. And (for those who haven't been there) a nice big patio that can accommodate all. The regular clientele is heavy gen Z but they don't seem to mind oldies.

Maybe not a coincidence that they’re moving the viewing party to where the $ is, now that the team’s for sale. I think the Rosewood Sand Hill is next.

Very different clientele at the Rosewood where the VCs gather. The Patio tends to skew young and (relatively) poor.

Yeah that’s what I was getting at. They’re gonna wanna be where the VCs are at some point pretty soon. Hopefully there might be a VC or two left in the area interested in supporting local sports versus building techno-feudal fiefdoms.

Same ol’ same ol’. Bruno and Niko still out. Hernán not listed as unavailable this game however. Will be interesting to see if he’s on the game day roster. He was reported to have been in Argentina recently?

Perhaps someone could ask Bruce what Bruno and Niko’s injuries are and the timetable for their return? Just a thought. Too much to ask? Too “nosy”? It’s been like 3 months for each and we have no idea what their injury is and when they might be available again.

    San Jose Earthquakes
Noel Buck - Lower Body (Out)
Niko Tsakiris - Lower Body Injury (Out)
Bruno Wilson - Lower Body Injury (Out)

    1) This is pretty much Bruce’s A Team lineup right now.

    2) No Hernán on the bench even though he’s not listed on the injury report, fuel for the fire that he is being moved.
