Top 2 in the west (it feels good to say that) face off in Dallas. Both teams are depleted. hopefully we can get a result.

A win means striking distance within first place--this is going to be a battle of to see who's the real deal at this stage in the season.

Yes, the injuries to Ching is a letdown, but great to have that other Brian, Mullan, back.

    You gotta like these guys.

if 6 points is within striking distance.....but seriously, and im not trying to troll here, but your only chance is going to be trying to go gung ho at us and get a goal or two and sit back. Its what chivas did and it almost worked against us. We have gotten full points at home this year, and this being the last game at the cotton bowl(thank goodness) its going to be tough to get the points. A tie would be a great result for yall. Word is that Ruiz is about a 60-40 to play on saturday. Other missing players will be Vanney and BD10 for yall. Should be a great game on saturday, it really is a shame that it wont be shown on tv, but ill be there so its not really a problem

Let's see. Dallas loses two games and San Jose wins two games. Yep, never will happen. Obviously, Dallas will never lose another game this season.

Dallas deserves to be in first. I expect the game to be 0-0 or 1-0. Both teams are going to have trouble scoring. With a mid-week game, San Jose is going to be tired. However, the team is very confident at the moment.

Fair and good point--it will be a hard fought game and FC Dallas will want to go out of the Cotton Bowl with 3 points, or at least hold the Quakes with a draw. Right now in the standings, San Jose and LA would love nothing more than get closer to the top while Dallas will try to widen the gap between first and second in the West.

Just wished it was at Pizza Hut Park instead--that would be an electric crowd. Still should be a good game to check during the 4th of July holiday.

And since it's the last match at the Cotton Bowl, best time for a pitch invasion. :) Cheers!

No true fan can believe that any team will score on the Quakes.

For the rest of the season.

I think I'm actually going to get to go to this game! Thank goodness, since it won't be shown on TV. What is up with that?

Anyway, should be a good game, and good riddance to the Cotton Bowl. My back does not feel like sitting through any more games out there.

I don't know why you think Dallas will have trouble scoring. Decent possibility of Ruiz coming back. Ronnie O'Brien is fully recovered. Roberto Mina is just hitting his stride and lord help you if Arturo Alvarez actually gets one to go in. I see no reason why anyone would doubt FCD's offense at this point. San Jose, on the other hand, is going to have issues. No DeRo...no Ching.....no Davis....no offense.

We haven't had Richard since the evil turf of Spartan stadium took him from us all those many weeks ago, and we've been playing without EJ for close to a month. I don't know if you've noticed but we are still winning.....and without Ruiz as well.

Yeah, we've been complete $h!te since Richard went down, huh? That disaster in DC was pathetic. Can't even beat Chivas . . . oh, wait, we did beat them, even without the best player in the league (Ronnie O'Brien).

Have you? (Okay, that was a low blow - please disregard that statement.)

Seriously, I think you have a good point about your defense and goalkeeping. Without Ruiz, we have had to really work to get goals - although we have gotten them. But your defense may be the most stout we've seen in a few games (although LA seemed to play better against us here than they have played on the road this entire time, but I'll discount that since I saw that game in person and haven't seen the other LA games in person.)

I agree with the sentiment that it could be tight - 0-0 or 1-0. But if our midfield wears yours down, no defense will hold up to that over the course of 90 minutes.

OTOH, we have yet to have a flat game. It has to happen sometime. And if you mix that in with you guys coming in firing on all cylanders.... (Then again, how did that game go on Wednesday? Does that result give you confidence that you can come to Dallas and win?)

Not have a flat game?? 2-0 at Galaxy? 2-0 in Chicago? 2-1 vs Chivas at home? We played pretty flat in all those games.

We didn't play flat against the Galaxy, we got beat by two early goals, smart tactics and a lack of finishing on our end. I don't know if we came out flat against Chicago rather than they came out fired up and rested (whereas we had played a mid-week game), as well as losing Ruiz early.

And the Chivas game - that was what this team would be without Ronnie. He makes such a difference.

I mean flat like the first half Ronnie had against KC - just completely out of sorts flat.

I will be tickled to death if we can get a point out of this match

FC has been strong all year, even without the likes of GAM and Ruiz

    no more injuries *crosses fingers*

Well I started this else where and this is probably the place to ask...

    Who goes in for DeRo?

Move Clark up and put in O'Rourke or move Ronald back and put in Nash?

I wouldn't complain too much if you did get a point, because it would put the LAG that much closer to where they belong. loved that game they played "against" you last Saturday. ;)

Let's see. In the last ten games, the Quakes defense has given up 4 goals (3 of the goals on the road). Last game against Dallas (w/Ruiz and EJ) was 0-0. I see no reason why anyone would doubt Quakes defense at this point. As you stated, the Quakes will be limited in the offense. Therefore, the game should be low scoring and a tight game...

Oh please, we were just happy to get out of that game with half our roster intact. Players were dropping like flies on that piece of crap you call a pitch. I notice the problems with the Spartan field haven't been corrected, players on both teams were slipping and sliding all over the place last night.
