Makes me feel better to think about the next game.

I can't stand the talk floating around about selling off much of the current squad after this sucky year, so I prefer to think that the players will put in a performance with dignity and heads held high this Sunday. And hopefully, after the fans inevitably let them know how they feel about Getafe, they'll be behind them, too.

    VISCA EL BARCA!

Prior to the match the 1982 team that won the Recopa Europa will be paraded around the pitch as part of their 25th anniversary celebrations.
Should help to inspire everyone in the stadium. :)

This game will be on Sunday, meaning the results from Saturday of Real Madrid - Espanyol and Sevilla - Recreativo will be in, so the players will have the potential added pressure of starting the match behind on points to RM and one ahead of Sevilla, assuming they both win.

So psychologically, I don't know what kind of response we can expect on Sunday.

Well, atleast the league doesnt come down to one match because this years track record is garbage for those situations. 5 games and 5 wins, no more.

I fully expect us to massacre Betis. Remember the story after the 5-0 away defeat to Malaga in 2003? Yeah, it went something like...2 Ligas and a Champions. So, yeah, BRING IT!

In my opinion the season gets decided today. Will we respond to all the pressure, all the doubters, all the critics?

i think it only gets decided if the team loses. if they lose, yes....it's over. i'm sorry, but it's over.

however, if they win...they've only managed to hold off RM for another week. Let's be honest here, Real Madrid is running on all cylinders...no scoreline is going to stop them. they f-ing came back from 3-1!!!!

with that said...let's go barca! this is obviously a must win.

This is a huge game and a must win...i have circled the away game to Athletico Madrid as the absolute key game...we always have issues away (hell even at home) to Ath

[The following message should not be conveyed to the players or management of FC Barcelona]

This team is so much better than Betis. For realz. Betis is bull.

    [Resuming rest of message]

From now on, Barca should never assume that they're better than any opponent. As far as their attitude on the pitch is concerned, Betis is Brazil 1970 and Barca is an Andorra B-team.

They must pretend that for every goal scored, an orphan receives a puppy.

    Lineup...

    ----------- Valdés
    Zambrotta - Thuram - Puyol - Gio
    ----- Iniesta - Xavi - Deco
    --- Messi - Ronaldinho - Eto'o

Listening to RAC1, earlier when the players came out of the tunnel a few whistles and jeers could be heard but they were mostly buried amongst the many cheers and honking horns.

    haha

    repped.

anyways, we have to win this game.

however, i've been thinking how winning the league at this point [blasphemy] might be detrimental to barca [/blasphemy]. i fear that if we do take the league, not enough restructuring will be made over the summer - all of which we desperately need!

Bojan Krkic has scored 8 minutes into the second half to give Spain a 1-0 lead against England in the U-17 EURO final in Belgium.

Oh my. The anthem is playing, the players are walking out... and the jeering and whistling is much more noticable. :(

EDIT: The noise sounds almost 50/50 regarding the cheering and whistling during the announcement of the lineup by the stadium announcer.
