As everyone remembers, we memorably beat them 5-2 in the first leg. Messi, hero of that game with an astounding Goal of the Century, will be rested this time.

Squad: Valdés, Jorquera, Puyol, Xavi, Edmílson, Zambrotta, Iniesta, Eto'o, Belletti, Gudjohnsen, Van Bronckhorst, Saviola, Oleguer, Ronaldinho, Giuly and Sylvinho

    I'd like to see:

    ------------Jorquera-------------
    Belletti--Oleguer--Puyol--Zambrotta
    ------------Edmilson-------------
    -------Xavi---------Iniesta--------
    ------------Ronaldinho-----------
    ------Eto`o----------Saviola------

With Gudjohnsen, Giuly, and Gio/Sylvinho getting subbed in later on.

Sadly, Ezquerro didn't even get called up to this game, which might've been the last match he'd ever play in a blaugrana shirt. As it stands, he'll probably never see the pitch again as a Barca player. Go free, Santi, find a better home this summer.

Also, attractively enough, Motta still not ready to play as he's treating an infected absess in his right foot. Next month, expect him to get scurvy.

Saviola start another game in a Barca shirt? I'd love to see that. BTW, he's still our leading scorer in the cup with 5 goals.

I too, would like to play with 2 strikers and Ronnie as a CAM and see how it works. I always wanted this to be our formation when Eto and Messi we injured.

Guess Rijkaard is none too confident about that 5-2 lead, but Christ almighty, give Saviola a last run-in! He's the top scorer in this tournament! Albeit with three against Alves, but still. Hope he gets at least 20 minutes in the second half.

    My prediction: 2-1 win.
Also, Ronaldinho will just kind of like chill.

Listening to RAC1 and seems like the players are having a sleep-walk on the pitch. You know it's bad if Jorquera's name comes up more than anyone else's.

Barca better start playing for real. After conceding one, Getafe have belief, and stranger things have happened than that they score three more.

SHITE... 2-0, Guiza again. Zambrotta makes some kind of huge mistake. WHAT IS WRONG WITH THIS TEAM. Can they stick their hands down their own pants any further today???

What a crock of bull. How can Rijkaard and the players care so little to concede two in the first half? All Getafe have to do is score another one in the second half and we're facing elimination. Completely embarrassing.

Completely bad performance from Barca.. Not even a possesion! Are they decide to play defensive? 2 - 0? Very frustrated performance? I think they are not taking this game seriously.. Not even a single attack.. It's like 8 - 0 occasion on goal for Getafe..

I can't beleive this.. better they do something is the 2nd half to show they deserved the Final.. Please..

I can't believe how up and down this season has been - so frustrating! Hopefully they can pull themselves together for the 2nd half.

Frankly, I'm disgusted. It's like watching a class full of brilliant students who insist on reading at a remedial level. You can take getting defeated by worthy opponents, but to not even try is disgraceful. In general, if Barca can't kick themselves out of this entitled-to-the-final attitude, the players don't deserve to win anything this season.

Barca are playing the offside trap and although Getafe have been caught on a few occasions, a couple were very tight decisions.
If this keeps up Barca will eventually get stung.

WTF?!?!?! Is this team dead? Their mentality is flat out terrible. Has Rikjaard lost his touch with the players? He seems to be unable to motivate them in a any sort of sufficient way at the moment. Will we somehow manage to fluke the league, despite not beating any top team since the ref gave us three points against Sevilla in autumn? And if we do, will the squad be the same next year? I sure hope not.

    Revolution is needed!

Oleguer, Edmilson, Thuran, Belletti, Gio, Zambrotta, Deco, Motta and DINHO needs to be kicked the f*** out!!! No heart, no fight, only crappy players, or has-beens with crappy attitudes. I'm ashamed to call myself cule these days...

I just got back from a trip to Houston to the Italian consulate --5 1/2 hours of driving just to apply for my passport in about 20 minutes and then turns out I left some important papers there...and now more bad news.

I guess this means that the liga game will be good if we follow the pattern

What other game was it recently where that offside trap almost did them in? I remember a few really close calls.

I have to put my lucky Barca sox on ASAP (Josie got us some women's striped socks while she was there...forgot to wear them!).
