Heh, tell me about it! As exhausted as I was, they replayed the match on rac1, so I listened to it this time around on radio, in Catalan. Wow, that was fun! The commentators were having a ball, and they would cut in with direct commentary from their people in Rome as well. They were going nuts, sang a funny Messi song after he scored, were joking, kidding around... I also taped (I must be a dinosaur) the match, and will watch that so I can relive it, at ease... and see how truly great we were.
1. Eto'o (it was only one moment, but it changed the entire game). 2. Puyol (neutralized Rooney/Ronaldo for most of the game) 3. The axis of Barcelonanismo: Messi-Xavi-Iniesta (Iniesta if I'm only picking one) To think Busquets was playing on the B-team at this time last year.
1.Iniesta 2.Xavi 3.Pique This whole thing is just now starting to sink in. WoWWOWWOWWOWOOWOOWWOWOWO!!!!
1. Xavi 2. Iniesta 3. Eto'o Xavi and Iniesta where on a different playing field yesterday. That pass by Xavi to Messi for the header was perfect. And Eto'o gets third for me because that goal changed the game, and it was a beautiful move and shot to the near post.
I'll have to second this list, though it is so hard to leave off Puyol (it's all been said), Iniesta (who sprung Eto'o for that first goal and was nearly as flow controlling as Xavi), Messi (we take his greatness for granted, brilliant goal, and even when quiet he had the attention of a couple defenders which opened play for the others), Valdes played a solid game with some great assistance from PK in the first minute especially, Yaya (not his best game positionally but played out of position in another huge game for us and, with PK, gave our D some extra size and steeliness), Henry (like Iniesta played at less than 100% and created a couple great chances, just no conversion, so happy he got his trophy with us not against us) All 3 non-regular 11 starters played great (Syl, Sergi and PK). What a team. What a coach. Would've been nice to see Bojan get to run on when Pedrito did but oh well.
Pique Xavi Eto'o i'm putting PK first because i'm not surprised we dominated possession, i'm not surprised we outscored them, but i am surprised we kept a clean sheet.
1. Xavi 2. Iniesta 3. Pique I don't really want to leave anybody out, especially Messi but for great reasons The reason we have this is so that we can see that Messi was the player of the season and deserves the WPOTY. Iniesta second. Xavi third. Crownaldo somewhere in or around the top 5. It doesn't get any better than this.
1. Messi/Iniesta 2. Pique 3. Xavi Minus Messi, this was my top three post game. However, Messi's drunken speech the next day gave him extra brownie points. I think he out drank the entire rest of the team before they got started. heres the link: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=A6cv...victory-parade-video/&feature=player_embedded roughly translated: drunken ramble, curse word bleeped out, we are going to win everything. We are going to win everything again. Thank you for everything. Visca Barca. Visca Catalunya.
Voting now open for Deportivo Barcelona 0-1 Osasuna - Voting now closed Not counted, too few votes. Voting for Manchester United and Deportivo games will be open until next weekend when we'll find out, uh, who the winner is. No problem. Picks can be changed until the voting has been closed.
lol, its hilarious to see messi like that. But to give messi some credit, i dont think he cursed. I was watching the unedited version and at the point when the audio gets cut, he is simply saying "we're going to keep winning". I think that was just an audio glitch from that particular channel. lol, but he seemed pretty drunk tho
