Dave Chapelle just never ceases to be funny. I've only seen Carlos Mencia twice, once on an old HBO special and once on a Comedy Central special. He is too damned funny.

i went into a gas station and there were two signs. One said help wanted and the other said self service...so I went in and I hired myself.

Wow, I can't believe nobody has mentioned carrot top yet! (sarcasm)

Funny CT story though. I was in college and working at a venue on campus, CT was "performing" and someone backstage actually called him Mr. Top, and they weren't mocking him, they were trying to "respect his position." It was quite sad.

I would have to say Rowan Atkinson is probably my favorite though. You gotta love a man that can be funny without saying anything.

I would like to thank you guys for bringing up mitch hedberg. I saw him on Comedy Central and couldn't stop telling my wife about him but I couldn't remember his name. BTW, he's on David Letterman's show tonight.

My favorite comedian would have to be Ben Stiller.

Does anybody remember Jerry Clower? He's an old country boy. He told some classics.

Zak Galafinakis (spelling might be wrong on this)
    Paul Merton

If Vic Reeves and Bob Mortimer count (seems like most people are doing standups), I'd include them, along with all of Monty Python as well as Cheech and Chong (although Tommy Chong's standup act kind of sucks IMO). Also, if comic actors are included probably my two favorite all-time are Peter Sellers and Tracey Ullman...

I had forgotten about ol Zak, that is one of the most bizarre, hilarious people I've seen in a long time. Good call on that one.

Also kudos to whoever tipped the hat to Jerry Clower.

My mom and dad had some of his albums. My favorite is the piece on redneck manners: "Boy, if I told you once, I've told you a hunnerd times: lick the knife before you stick it back in the butter."

Saw Lewis Black this weekend. He was in good form. Funny, and he'd make a cup of coffee nervous.

I was babysitting one day, and we decided to go to the zoo, and I was pushing them along, and the babies were crying and screaming, because I forgot to bring along the stroller...

Tom Lehrer- not so much a comedian as a satirist from the 50's and 60's.
