My favorite in Yokohama, in Wheaton, Maryland. It's near the intersection of Georgia Avenue and University Blvd.

Have a few favorites- Best is probably Suhi Senin- a little out of the place way- expensive- but their special rolls are huge and very tasty. Best to go with a friend who has a corporate expense account.

Miyoshi and Fuki Sushi both in Bergen County. I also have a Korean fruit and vegitable store that has a very good and reasonably priced sushi bar. I order a lot of take out sushi from there. I can get a 30 piece combination sushi/sashimi platter for $39 bucks.

I like going to Sakurai in Cypress, CA. Small, intimate, friendly and they have TVs at the bar, which I haven't seen elsewhere.

There's this Korean-run sushi place called Sushi Family by my house. Not the largest or fanciest, but damn is it some good eatin. Great side dishes they give too like shumai, soft shelled crab, and some kinda fried fish which I don't know the name of. Oh yeah, and the sushi's good. Best spicy tuna hand rolls I can find....

Probably not too useful to most of you, but Itsu in London's Wardour Street rocks. It is part of a chain, but based on the number of Oriental people who frequent it, I would say that is a pretty fair indicator of quality.

If you should be heading London way, avoid Nobu. Aside from the fact that I got vicious food poisoning, the food is good but not exceptional and certainly not worth the exorbitant sum demanded of us at the end of the evening :)

All time favorite is Miyake on De Anza Blvd in Cupertino,Ca. Best spicy hamachi rolls anywhere. The soft shell crab rolls are to die for! Also good(but with an odd name) is the Pink Godzilla in Santa Cruz,Ca.

I love all you can eat sushi buffets! The best one I've been to in North Texas is Tokyo One. On Beltline and Midway in Addison (Dallas suburb). Lunch $12.99, Dinner $24.99. Nigri, sashimi, sushi rolls, seafood salads, noodle soup, a small Mongolian grill, rich desserts like creme bulee, it cannot be beat.

Isshin Grill in Irving and Sumo Sushi on Greenville Ave are good sushi buffets too.
