I'm thinking that the Burn uniforms have got better each season. Course, after 1996 we had nowhere to go but up. I like the new 2003 Atletica red the best. The new whites on 3rd Degree look good too. I liked last year's version with the collar all 3 were very sharp - but I think I prefer the no collar look. The 2002 all-blacks were pretty darn cool too. My top 3: 2003 Red with black shorts 2002 Red with black shorts 2002 Black on black So I posted the poll by year - knowing there may a particular kit you may prefer (home/away/3rd). I think I got all the versions that had any significant difference. I wish I knew how to post images. Any word on a 2003 3rd kit?
I personally prefer the collared shirts to non-collared, so I went with the 2001-02 Atletica shirts. In fact, the new shirts appear to be so close to those shirts that I don't think I'll be buying the new shirt. I mean, paying $60 for the same shirt without a collar? No thanks.
Incidentally, I changed the poll options slightly. The 1997 jerseys were only worn in 1997. They changed the jerseys for 1998 and kept them for 1999.
I couldn't help myself - I got an ROB # 26 on order thru MLSgear. The new MLS numbers look great. Why the hell not. I thought I might have made a mistake with teh jersey distinctions but couldn't pinpoint it - thanks.
yea plus the '97s still had the HUGE logo on the front. Have to go with the '01-'02s, they just look more serious than the previous years.
I agree. The '01-'02s are more professional and traditional-looking uniforms than the cartoon-looking uniforms of 1996. BTW who the hell voted for the 1996 uniform?

That's an odd combination. White/Black/Black or White/Black/White are better. Maybe even the dreaded All White.
Thanks, guys. Think I'm going to hold out for the 2003 training jersey, sans Frosted Flakes. Hopefully they'll have them when I come up to Dallas for the home opener.
I like that black sock look - relatively unique for MLS. How about Fox Sportsworld as the new sponsor?
