    I disagree actually.
David Beckham isn't lazy, he puts in a lot of effort, just that he does tend to choke and disappear in some key matches. But he works hard and he tries, even when played in a non-ideal position.
I think people are a bit too harsh on him just because he's Posh Spice's little b1tch boy lol

i like what he can do, but he is not so consistent in my opinion
and i definitely think he is over-rated...

i just read that he is gonna retire soon and enter hollywood

I have no doubt that Beckham is a very talented Player. Looking at Man Utd, without Beckham, they don't have a solid midfielder to feed the ball to the strikers as effectively, and Roy Keane is past his prime.

Having said that, I don't think Beckham is a very good "all around" player. He is such a distraction, he is too busy with commercial shootings and appears on too many celeberity magazines. He has too many "off the field" problems and he is an negative influence in the locker room. If you were on his football team, you would question his concentration towards the game. You would ask yourself "is he focusing on the game or his affair with Posh Spice?"

Too much of a pretty boy than a football player. This is my opinion.

I'm just posting here so this thread gets into my list of subscribed threads, so I can show it to all my friends without having to look it up.

And to ChinaBeckham: Don't worry about others on BigSoccer think of you. Obviously you're learning our language, so your posts will probably be hilarious to us, but don't take it personally. It doesn't mean they don't want you posting or that they don't like you. I have many Latino friends and they laugh at me every time I try to speak Spanish, but I don't take it personally because I know they don't mean it that way and I know I'm always getting better.

"kekekeke" <--This one had me rollin'

Beckham isn't any worse than most other players, he just gets more exposure, has more paparazzi etc. But he still tries to shrug it off and get on with his work.

If anything, listening to Communist rhetoric must be exhausting.
