Just a little more info on the Faroese player with Arsenal. He signed a three year contract with Arsenal in early 2001 after playing for B36. Ingi picked Arsenal after narrowing his choices down from twenty other clubs that were interested in him. No word on how he is doing with Arsenal.
http://www.arsenal.com/sportsappcontroller.jsp?command=forwardOnly&nextPage=/reserves/hojsted.jsp Apparently he has been injured for awhile. He playing with the U-17's for Arsenal and hopefully making a name for himself because he needs to jump to the U-19's soon.

I was following the score at livescore.com and I must say the result really sucks. My western European favorite Iceland would've been in first in the group if 0-0 would've held!!
Big game on August 20th. Faroe Islands hosts rival Iceland in a ECQ. Faroese squad: Jákup Mikkelsen (Partick Thistle, SPL) Jens Martin Knudsen (NSI) Óli Johannesen (TB) Jóhannis Joensen (FS Vágar) Jón Rói Jacobsen (Brondby, Denmark) Hans Fróði Hansen (B68) Pól Thorsteinsson (B36) Atli Danielsen (KI) Súni Olsen (GI) Tór–Ingar Akselsen (HB) Julian Johnsson (IA Akranes, Iceland) Jann Ingi Petersen (B68) Rógvi Jacobsen (HB) Hjalgrím Elttør (KI) Helgi L. Petersen (NSI) Christian Høgni Jacobsen (Vejle, Denmark) Andrew av Fløtum (HB) John Petersen (B36) Iceland appears to be sending a very strong team, and the Faroe Islands will be fortunate if they can manage a draw. However, I wouldn't mind if they found a way to get a victory.
His club (FC Copenhagen) convinced him to retire from international soccer. He might return to the national team next year (I hope).
Please Canadian_Supporter, tell me that for this match you cheer for Iceland! You know like me that I love Faroe Islands, but you also know like me that a draw or loss from Iceland would almost put an end to their chances of finishing second and qualifying for Euro 2004... that would be so amazing! Show a little support to their "neighbours"!! Please...
