I've the very sad news to report that we lost one of our brothers: @KevinJRogers passed away 4/17/26. I just learned about this, having tried to DM him and not getting a response. Knowing of his tough battle with cancer over the past few years, I turned to google to confirm my worst fears. We never met in the flesh, but we talked often about fixing that at a Hudson River Derby some day. Sadly that was not to be. From the several years I knew him on BigSoccer, I can echo what I saw posted on Facebook... "he was one of the good guys". I don't do Facebook myself but just now I browsed his page for the first time (https://www.facebook.com/kevin.j.rogers) and saw what seems to be his last post on 4/14 where you get a good sense of his moral keel. RIP Kevin, you will be much missed around here!
That's incredibly sad, and thanks for letting this forum know we lost one of our own. I had no idea he was battling cancer. I just looked at his FB page as well. I'll add that I sincerely love how this team and this forum have brought together so many people from around the world and so different walks in life to this little corner of the internet. Thanks - all of you - for your camaraderie and patience over all these years. Every breath is a gift. Use it to the fullest.
Yup. I was thinking of @KevinJRogers yesterday and almost gave him a shout out as well. Oh well, better late than never! Perhaps he’s smiling somewhere. Not that I really believe that stuff TBF.
