Anywho, I'd like to register an official complaint. No team in the Burn division should have Dema Kovalenko on the roster. Yes, I'm talking to you #1!

Anyone who had DC defenders appears to have gotten screwed out the 15 points for holding opponent to one goal. Who can we contact about this?

Try finding this paragraph on the MLS Fantasy site in the section called "Contact Us" (which is reall a FAQ) and click on the link to a form they provide:

"I don't see an answer to my question here. What do I do now?
If none of the answers to the questions in MLS Fantasy Challenge FAQ adequately answers your questions, please use this form to send us your question. So that we may better service your request, if possible please login before proceeding to the form. "

Go check your scores - those of you with DC defenders have now been credited 15 points per DC defender (for holding the opposition to one goal) - a fix to the scoring problem was put in this afternoon.

An error in scoring was corrected on the fantasy site - thanks to Jambon for noticing that DC defenders had not received all the points they were entitled to. See the site for detailed stats.

If your score for this week was increased it will be in large bold font
If your RANK was improved your info is in BLUE and is underlined
If your placement in the ranks dropped due to others improving your info is in red

If anyone has Diego Gutierrez from Kansas City Wizards...they made a mistake on his point total for the week. They only gave him 25 points but forgot to add 30 more points for the shutout they got this weekend. I noticed that the guy who is in first place has Gutierrez so that would boost his score a bit. Please e-mail the fantasy league people with this mistake if you have him. The more e-mails they get the faster they will correct it. Thank you.

As always, thanks for the recap. I realize that we are all competing here, but if anyone is willing to share some advice I'd gladly take it. What are the theories on trades? I guess I keep asking myself, do I make some changes now trying to upgrade the team, pocket a little of the gains on players that have increased, etc. But I'm worried about running out of trades later and not being able to make moves later in the season. Anyone have any opinions?

My team, Los Kajuns, are currently number #4.

The 25 free trades you get really are quite a lot. If you can hold yourself to 2 roster moves per month(each of one sell and one buy), you should be fine.

Don't hesitate to get rid of guys who look like they're not going to play major minutes.

I like to use cheap defenders who are almost locks to play, and that don't get a lot of cards. Ability to score goals is a distant third. I recently cut Dan Califf to add Phil Sayler (almost a lock to play now with Reyes out of the picture).

Overall good advice. The key is finding out who the starters will be and making sure that those are the players you have on your team.

Also, goalkeeping is insanely important. Last season, when I was making my push, I made sure I had what I thought was the best keeper available. That did not necessarily mean the keeper who would most likely win, but the guy who would put up the best stats.

On buying and selling - keep in mind that the value only matter if you have to move the player. Example - if someone (say DeRosario) is a good player, but has had a slow week for whatever reason, and his value drops - don't panic. As long as you are comfortable with the idea that he will regain his form, your patience will pay off.

OTOH, if a guy loses his place (Countess), then you'd better drop him before his value falls through the floor. Note - the best time to make changes is Saturday night. Most of the movement happens on Mondays and Wednesdays - so if you can make your moves Saturday night in anticipation of the money moves on Monday (can you say, Fabian Taylor?), then decide if that is a player you want to keep or sell for profit. Careful on the resale - every move costs you a trade.

Also - look closely at the schedule. I started off with players who I knew were going to play for four weeks straight. That way, I didn't have to waste trades unless someone (Craig Wiabel!!!!! grrrrrr) gets a red card or injured or something.

    Best of luck.

Let 'em. Every time he gets red carded, they lose out. Whether they are doing it out of ignorance or spite, they will learn their lesson soon enough.

(sheepish look) although, it appears this season, it won't be learned from me. Not in the Inferno divison, anyway. Oh well.
