You forgot what's probably our best prospect for the future: Diogo Amado, Sporting's junior captain.

WTF is it with Sporting youth system? What are they pourring into their drinks? It's insane the amount of young talent they produce, even if half of them end up destroying their carreers earlier (a la Dani) they still produce a mind boggling amount of world class players. It just freaks me out.

...and these are just players that we know of TODAY. Who knows which players will come out of the woodwork in a couple of years' time...

It's no coencidence that Sporting has the best young talent.

Firstly the don't just look at body types but technical ability. Just imagine that Benfica didn't want Miguel Veloso because he was "chubby" at 11 yrs old.

Secondly they look for technically proficient kids. Meaning they look for players that have a good "relationship with the ball" i.e. the ball looks like it always belongs at their feet.

Thirdly, they have some of the best scouts in Portugal.

They also have a good reputation so parents if possible would rather send their kids to the Sporting academy.

Sporting scouts players from all over, not just Lisboa

i.e. Ronaldo is from Madeira. ( although Sporting discovered him in the Nacional youth team)

clubs in Portugal dont have geographic restrictions on where they can scout players from.

by 2014 could we be talking about whether Christian Ponde should be playing for the selecao.

Also sporting has the best facilities they have a clear understanding on
what is required for players to make it as professionals.

They have a better understanding of football in general in comparisons
    to most clubs.

Sporting, Arsenal, Ajax and the Clairefountaine academies are the best and have similar ideals on how football should be played
