There's is some serious money going on Robbo to get the job. Somebody knows something. I read on a spurs message board that when bryan officially applied, someone from the fai legged it to the nearest bookies and placed a BIG bet at odds of 16-1.

    Bryan Robson 8/13
    Peter Reid 10/3
    John Aldridge 10/3
    Joe Kinnear 10/1
    Frank Rijkaard 10/1
    Wim Jansen 20/1
    Ray Houghton 28/1
    Brian Kerr 28/1
    David O'leary 33/1
    Don Givens 40/1
    Ronnie Whelan 50/1
    Packie Bonner 50/1
    Niall Quinn 50/1
    Martin O'Neill 50/1
    George Graham 50/1
    Craig Brown 50/1
    Frank Stapleton 50/1
    George Burley 66/1
    Tony Cascarino 80/1
    Terry Yorath 80/1
    Paul McGrath 80/1
    Mark Lawrenson 80/1
    Liam Brady 80/1
    Kenny Dalglish 80/1

    You missed a few :
    Ian Paisley 1000/1
    Osama Bin Laden 1200/1
    Terry Wogan 1500/1
    Ronan Keating 2000/1
    Michael Barrymore 2000/1
    Jesus 2500/1

A lot of smart money is going on Jesus. Someone put on a big bet in Paddy Powers Jerusalem branch this morning. Apparently he's the only man Roy Keane would look up to.

i'm more interested in getting back into the day-to-day club side of things.

I have read a few reports mentioning Win Jansen as a candidate. stands head and shoulders above the rest if you ask me.

I am very worried about Robbo actually getting the job now that he's odds on.

Don't worry about that dipso Robson getting it, he hasn't a hope in hell. Even Stoke wouldn't give him an interview when he applied last week. He's bad news and the whole of England knows it, as do the FAI. Kinnear wouldn't be my choice but I think he's home and hosed and if I see him at 10/1 anywhere I'll be having a half a ton on him. He's the safe option for the FAI, good with the media and reasonably popular amongst the fans and the players. Don't expect the FAI to make any bold moves, therefore forget about Wim Jansen, Phillipe Trossier etc.

In a bag with a cat.
Out of the leaders, I'd have Rijkaard, with Kerr as assistant, U-21's or whatever it takes to keep the future Duffs coming.

What odds on Trappatoni? He'll be out of a job soon enough anyway and even Mr. Keane would have to sit down and shut up with a coach of that calibre :D

Trapp is a good outside bet, I reckon.

I hope he doesn't get it for your sake. He'll be playing an 8-1-1 formation and all the flair and attacking skills of the likes of (Robbie) Keane and Duff will be blunted.

Is there even room for 8 defenders across the pitch?
