Two people who are, surprisingly STILL ALIVE Designer Ralph Lauren STILL ALIVE at 85 years old today Cliff Richard STILL ALIVE at 84 years young. (He looks like Lon Chaney in Phantom of the Opera)
For better or worse, Benjamin Netanyahu, is still alive and is 75 years old today. Certainly famous, perhaps, infamous.
Genuinely surprised to read that former "Chicago Eight" defendant and civil rights activist Bobby Seale is still alive. He is 88 years old today
Dan Rather, former host of CBS News and most recently interviewing musicians on AXS TV is STILL alive and going relatively strongly at the ripe old age of 93.
Also, Brian Doyle-Murray, older brother of the actually famous Bill Murrey is, surprisingly, still alive at 79 years of age. He got his television start in 1975 on Saturday Night Live. No, not THAT One! Saturday Night Live: with Howard Cosell. Howard Cosell's show actually predated NBC's "Saturday Night" by three weeks. NOTHING says "variety show" and "lots of laughs" like 1970's Howard Cosell! Both Bill Murray and Brian Doyle-Murray were on it. They were two of the Prime Time Players (along with Christopher Guest). Again, not to be confused with the "Not Ready for Primetime Players" on NBC's shows. Sadly, or fortunately, Cosell's show only lasted 18 episodes. It is generally considered one of the worst, most ill-conceived shows in television history. Most of the episodes have been lost.
Actor Joe Mantanga is still alive and, at age 74, still working on Criminal Minds. Also, for better or worse, Merrick Garland is still alive. His inactivity as US Attorney General in prosecuting the criminal former (and future) occupant of the White House may end up killing us all soon, but HE is still alive at 72 years of age. Both are from Chicago, but I suspect they ran in different circles as kids.
Talk show host and all around great human being is STILL alive at 88 years old today. Also, xtomx is still alive. Allegedly, I was born on this day, but I don't remember as I was very young at the time. People could be lying. Sure there is a birth certificate, but how do I know it is MY birth certificate?
Happy 80th Earl Monroe! “God couldn’t go one-on-one with Earl Monroe” - teammate Ray Scott nice article in WaPo, but probably paywalled https://www.washingtonpost.com/sports/2024/11/21/earl-monroe-nba-knicks-bullets/
Sadly, I report that ex-con and wearer of way too many shirts at the same time, Steve Bannon, is still alive. He is 71 miserable years old today. I will spare you all a picture of the permanently disheveled ghoul.
On a brighter note, tv scientist and all around "nyce" guy, Bill Nye is also still alive. Still rocking the bow ties at age 69.
Well, he spent that last four months "living" in Connecticut at our government's "pleasure." Don't know, don't care where he ended up after his release. From the looks of him, under a bridge somewhere.
Formerly semi-famous person Jaye P. Morgan is STILL alive is at 93 years old. To most people still alive, she is probably "Best" known for being a frequent game show guest in the 1970's (mostly on the Gong Show, which I watched as a kid for some reason) and appearing on various talk shows or "guest" appearances on other shows, but she was a pretty famous singer back in the day, with minor hits "Just a Gigolo" (later covered by some guy form Van Halen) and "Life is Just a Bowl of Cherries" (later covered by Judy Garland and bunch of others)
Shockingly, Ozzy Osbourn is STILL alive. He is 76 years old today, but has looked liked he is 100 years old for past 40+ years.
Former game show host and man with an absurd name, Wink Martindale (I looked it up and his first name was really Winston), is still alive at 90 years old today. Host of the very silly show "Tic Tac Dough" that I used to watch with Cliff, my step grandfather, every afternoon when I would spend the summers in Florida with the grandp's.
Beat me to it! And, recently escaped a fire! Well, he was "only" 98 when it happened. I think he tripped over the ottoman on the way out, which is why then neighbors had to help him. https://www.nbcnews.com/weather/wil...caping-raging-franklin-fire-malibu-rcna183946
