Well, if we're going to have a "Famous Person is Dead" thread, then we might as well have a famous person is alive thread. Here are some people I recently thought about and checked up on who are still alive... some surprises. 1. Al Molinaro, Al from Happy Days and Murray from The Odd Couple, is 91! 2. Alan Young, Wilbur from Mr. Ed, is also 91! 3. Abe Vigoda, from Barney Miller and The Godfather, is 90! Didn't check up on him. I just knew this.
This is not the first time I'm a little surprised to hear that Fish is still alive. I thought he was 90 at least 20 years ago.
Eva Marie Saint, star of North by Northwest and On the Waterfront is 86. She's one year older than Angela Lansbury. Who is also alive.
Although half the child cast is dead, Conrad Bain, Mr. Drummond of Diff'rent Strokes, is still alive at 88!
I guess she's not that old, but former SNL cast member and Weird Al Yankovich friend Victoria Jackson is alive, and apparently active with the Tea Party: http://www.mediaite.com/tv/victoria...-liberal-agenda-muslims-oral-sex-stds-on-hln/
Wow. She's a horror. Absolutely no reasoning skills whatsoever. She blathers the same crap no matter the question. I thought her dumb blonde baby-voice crap was an act. Can't believe it's real. What an idiot. Oh... and to get back on topic - as some saw on the Oscars, Eli Wallach is still alive, and he's 95!
This is light in comparison to when she was campaigning for Engle in the Nevada Senate race. She was OD'ing on crazy pills.
Yesterday, I was about to add Liz Taylor to the list but had a phone call come in before I could post it. Sadly I can't add her today. RIP Liz
Gore Vidal, alive, 84 years old and getting interviewed by Details: http://www.details.com/celebrities-...d-books/201103/gore-vidal-writer-pulp-fiction
Here's an article about Christopher Plummer! He's still going at 81! http://news.yahoo.com/s/ap/20110531/ap_en_ot/us_film_christopher_plummer I actually saw him when I was young (maybe 12?) in a production of Othello. He played Iago. James Earl Jones was Othello!
Sean Kingston crashed a jet-ski into a bridge over the weekend, I'm not sure how he's doing but he was alive as of yesterday.
One of my favorite authors from childhood, Beverly Clearly of Ramona and Beezus fame, is still alive. She is 95. One of my least favorite entertainers, who I blame for ushering in reality TV, Judge Wapner, is still alive and cranky at 91. Harry Heimlich, the obvious inventor of the Heimlich Manuever, is still alive, also aged 91. Stan Musial, desperately hanging on to try and wear the Greatest Living Baseball player mantle, is still alive at 90. Willie Mays is a little younger....
