Its a shame, if he never got hurt he could have been a world class forward, which we terribly needed in the playoff against Sweden.

it was dorzolamide. a diuretic used to relieve intra ocular pressure that can be caused by glaucoma or other things , like the buildup of aqueous humor fluid behind the eye.

apparently this drug can ( even though there are better and more efficient diuretics for that ) be used to mask drugs that can be tested through urine screening.

So he got nabbed for using diuretic eye drops really. I don't think he was trying to mask anything personally because if he was , like I said before , there are better ways.

Agree. Not sure about the world class part but he could have led the frontline for a while. He was an electric presence whenever he stepped on the field for the NT.

I am assuming that if he had reported using it and could back his legitimate need, that he would be ok?

He is training with Villareal. Hopefully he gets his career back on track.

Interesting, nowadays, these drug tests are outdated, or have they got something new?

Hey there! I totally get where you're coming from. It seems like drug tests are everywhere these days, whether it's for a job or even just for school. I've heard that some companies are starting to move away from drug tests altogether, but I'm not sure if that's the case everywhere. I will say though, if you do find yourself needing to take a drug test, there are ways to prepare for it. I actually came across this article the other day that might be helpful. It's all about how to pass a drug test, and you can check it out by clicking on this link. The article goes over some tips and tricks for making sure you come up clean.

I don't think it would have changed much. He still would have been injury prone.

    Lippi ruined 2010 Italia

Balotelli, Cassano, Rossi were all in great form, left Quags on the bench most of the tournament. We had way more potential in 2010 than 2014 imo.

You're forgetting Miccoli too who was on fire that season and probably would have been our best player.

I remember watching the opening game and seeing Gila start up front with Iaquinta and thinking "yeah we're going to suffer here"
