Pellistri isnt a right-back so not a surprise. He did a bit to put Silva off but not enough.

Agree on Onana - he could and should have got across to that as wasnt exactly in the corner.

Onana looked off his line too early

I thought we played well tbh.

Casemiro looked really good. Like he wants to prove something this year. Bruno is Bruno.

Pellestri isnt a RB, tough for him.

This is very harsh. After watching presseason, I honestly disagree. He wasnt lights out, but he hasnt looked like a complete idiot with his decision making. Which IMO was always his biggest problem.

Yes, he should have scored both of those chances, but I feel good about him.

Knew Sancho was going to miss - so mentally weak. Once it gets to the defenders it is a lottery (though said to my wife Evans was going to miss too).

No injuries and we were unlucky to loose.

Baffled though that Amass not in the squad given played all pre-season and looked good.

Especially given Pellistri at RB cost us the win when Dalot could have been RB if Amass got LB minutes.

Positive start to the season, though was a weak City side tbf.

for once i don't feel bad having lost to city.

we did OK. much better 2nd half. really should have closed it out.

we have to work on that. we saw enough late goals cost us last season

What got me was that he was glaring at Pellistri before the ball had even crossed the line. FFS.

I bet this isn’t the last time we see pellistri experiments. He’s not fast enough to be a winger. I think he would be better off as a Bruno understudy.

We don't have a place for him. Just flip him now. Be done with it.

Is Sancho our worst signing ever?

I agree. I think he’s another player eth rates, but he just doesn’t fit anywhere.

Zirkzee not getting minutes was a shame.

Erik said pre-match that Zirkzee needs time to adjust to team and new environment, however when your only #9 in the squad has a hamstring injury and is out a couple of months and the season starts Friday …

A lot worked ok today but the false #9 didnt. The false #9 is only really for playing top teams anywho which isnt 90% of the season.

i don't think ten Hag rates him at all. he's hardly ever given him a chance.

i still believe there is something there but i also don't believe he'll get enough minutes to show that.

we already got lucky with Diallo and he's another i believed in from Serie A days. unfortunately we're going to persist with our sunken costs so it is best if Pellistri goes for his own sake

    Glazers or Ed Woodward ;)

Previous players agree with Sanchez & Di Maria.

    Current players Anthony & Maguire.
