I'm playing keeper in an indoor beer league a level or three above what I'm used to. Good positioning but slow reflexes has left me taking shot after shot off of my face - any recommendations on a facemask or similar type of protection? I obviously don't want to impair my vision while I'm playing too badly, but I also don't want to suffer a serious injury while playing recreational soccer.
I'm not to sure on face masks or goggles but Petr Cech who plays for Chelsea wears a rugby helmet. I am not sure if that is what you are looking for but it has obviously been beneficial for him after his head got fractured a few years back. Hope this helps.
