Can one of you screen shot what you're seeing because aside from the aforementioned I'm not seeing any sort of fb log in.

I wouldn't mind it so much if we had the option to minimize it much like we can with subscribed forums, subbed threads, rep.......seems like a good reason for some Scotch.:)

I'm pissed off with facebook. Pretty much every page i visit, i see my face at the bottom and i'm being asked to like shit. It's like being stalked. Unless they give me a way to block this feature, i'm going to deactivate my account. I'm sure google is just as bad with privacy, but at least they try to be subtle about it.

I also have the added extra of having a Facebook Login button wanting clicked on. Supposedly because I'm not logged in.

Well that would be because I hate Facebook. I'm not on Facebook and wont ever be on Facebook.

Therefore the last thing I want to see on my homepage on BigSoccer that I pay Platinum membership for to avoid things like this is a fecking great big Facebookinyourface style news banner with a login button.

Can someone please get rid of it. Or else I'll be getting rid of my Platinum membership and looking for a refund.

That's what I have but no log in button. I've learned to live with or rather ignore the "like" tabs everywhere. Like I posted earlier, if they allow us to minimize that box I see no issues.

It's amazing. Everytime they add a Face Book feature people complain on this thread - it's not like they don't know how a lot of posters feel about Face Book being shoved in our faces .

The Scenario: The powers of Big Soccer's creative department hanging out with a couple beers two months after reading this thread and removing the feature.

    - So, what should we do next?

    - Let's add a kickass feature.

    - Cool. What should we do?

    - Hmmmm, how about something facebook related - they'll love it!!!

    - Of course they will. How could they not? Great idea - I love Facebook!!!

    - Everybody does.

    And...........

    Repeat.

There's no point in getting all freaked out over this yet. This wouldn't be the first time that BS has tested out a feature that everyone hated enough that it went away.

I'm bothered by a couple of things. First of all, it looks terrible because it doesn't match the style of anything else on the BS control panel page.

Second, (and more important) the little FB blurbs I can see have the actual real names of posters who don't use their real names here. It just so happens that these posters are also people who are Facebook friends so I'm hoping that other people can't see those entries.

Facebook has turned into internet cancer. Or mold. All I know is way too many sites I visit these days have these Facebook sections that I don't give a rat's ass about. If I want to see what people are "sharing" on Facebook, I'll log on to Facebook. Those other sites have the courtesy to at least tuck the Facebook sections out of the way.

I have confidence that we won't have to live with this for long.

    This is the worst:

This is what it says on my homepage!

Please pass this message on to the creator of this bright idea; I don't need to be logged into anything, much less Facebook.
    Thanks,

    Your customer.

If the Facebook privacy issues aren't getting them in enough hot water now, they soon will be. If I go to Facebook, I expect to see Facebook. I don't expect, nor WANT, to see it on non FB sites, randomly popping up unless I click some sort of "link" thing.

And Barbara beat me to it:

I dont even know why we need that on our Mybigsoccer page... all those articles are already on the bigsoccer mainpage, why do we click on a link that gets us away from the main page, just to see another page show all the same crap right at the top of it

Funny, I don't remember joining BigFacebook. I certainly didn't want to join BigFacebook. I will not continue to pay to be a member of BigFacebook.

Please remove it from My BigSoccer page. Please.

Didn't like it, can do without everybody knowing who I am, where I live etc. I've recently cut my Facebook info down to the bare minimum due to privacy concerns, and if we have to link to FB or share info with it then I would choose to cut down my BS info and use accordingly.

Props to the people who asked for it to be removed, and also props to the people who listened and got rid of it so quickly.
