Some weak ass defending by AWB & Rashford allows a play through to cross and Dalot gets back to block a certain goal.

 

Our attack is such a steaming pile of shit. There’s no purpose or plan. We look pleased whenever we complete a pass. Nobody is threatening or looking to create a chance. Such garbage.

 

If we keep him, just make him the back up 9. He already has Rasmus size. It's a quick fix

That would never work. McT only works around goal because his late runs often aren’t picked up. It’s the same reason people thought Dele Alli was good. If he were a 9, the CBs would be marking him and he would struggle in a big way. Plus McT is absolute garbage with his back to goal which Hojlund is very good at. Trying to play guys out of position is something we started doing a lot post SAF and it never works. Remember all the years where our RW was either Mata or Lingard and how shit that was?

McT should 100% be sold this summer. He has 10 goals this season. His stock will never be higher. Fleece him to WH or someone like that for 30 mil like we should have done with Lingard on the back of his WH loan where he had a career season.

 

McT is fine as what we should be using him for bar injuries which is a sub, where he basically plays CAM / support striker. The “Fellaini” role.

Injuries mean it is what it is. If we replace Amrabat with someone who we will actually use and can deal with the speed of the EPL, then we will hopefully be forced to start him in midfield less next season.

 

That makes absolute sense, his stock is very high. Hopefully we have proper negotiatiors in the building for once.

Dalot and AWB out of position, but it's due to demands from how we play. Dalot is instructed to play midfield in possession, while AWB encouraged to get forward. Not their fault.

Maguire stayed put and probably would have been caught in no man's land if he tried to meet the crosser. Had to deal with a runner, too.

Mainoo maybe should have dropped back to put pressure on scorer, but I can't pin it on him.

We always say it's on the players. No, this is on the tactics. We are not looking to starve the oppo of the ball. Just play boring on the ball and we win this 3-0. Now it's 3-2. That's on ten Hag and the braindead long balls.

The game really changed with the subs. Antony adds no pressure on the defense going forward. Eriksen is a non-entity.

We are a special type of awful. We can’t even see off a game against a lower league opponent when we’re 3 up. Just a fragile, terrified team at all times.

AWB has been horrific. He’s lost on almost every play and on top of that, he’s walking around.

 

Mainoo was still playing when we conceded the first goal. We were letting Coventry play even before we scored the 3rd. Also, Garnacho was not playing well, posed little threat himself.

Eriksen in theory should help us keep the ball. We are not doing that. Onana keeps playing long balls and every time he does possession goes straight back to Coventry.

ETH is just about done and frankly, how it’s his fault these players can’t do the basic stuff to see out games is beyond me. But he’ll take the fall for it.
