    FJ goes 74 mins.

Very quiet 1st half. Was a little more active in the 2nd half where he played closer to the striker.

They looked to spring FJ behind the d line a couple of times but was offisides

Johnson getting lots of 1st team minutes. Watched the 2nd half of his last outing on replay. Not terrible by any stretch. Didn't score, and was OT way too much, but his speed caused some problems and he had at least two balls could easily have been assists. A surprising revitalization to me, gotta admit.

This fella liked his press, too.

FWIW wasn't on FotMob's list of injured players for this match but haven't bothered to check any official sources. I think the answer to the question of 'Is FabJo injured?' is always 'Yes'.

against Cologne I heard 'neck', yesterday they said 'back'... guess it's the same thing... but with Kramer being back (Hofmann most likely out for another 1 &1/2 months) chances for first 11 are fading anyway... then again english weeks are beginning and rotation may kick in...

They started Fabio in two games in a row. By now they should realize doing that gets him injured.

Gladbach have won 4 straight league matches without Johnson and now stand 1st in the Bundesliga table on 16 points heading into the international break.

This is getting ridiculous. Seems like every USMNT player in league one Euros have gotten significant injuries over the last season and a half:

Adams, Brooks, Yedlin, Weston, Pulisic, Morales, Johnson, Chandler, Weah... I think there are more as well... but that list is more than 80% of said top-flight Euro players.

Just don't start him two games in a row and he'll be ok, or at least will get short-term injuries only.

And for crying out loud don't let him cross the ocean for some silly international friendly. He needs to rest and drink cocoa during FIFA breaks.

    seems to be getting close.
Before the next appearance on the international stage, the personal situation in the foals has eased slightly. Fabian Johnson, Alassane Plea and Raffael were able to play a large part of the team training after their injury breaks on Tuesday afternoon. "For Fabi and Raffa it was a partial entry after their respective rehab, so we have to be careful. Alassane was fine. Now we have to see what tomorrow's final training will bring, "said head coach Marco Rose.

Gladbach defeated Bremen 3-1 today. Once again, Gladbach are in 1st heading into the international break, with 25 points and a 4 point lead over their rivals.

Johnson has not played since August.
