Yeah DC United says his contract is up after this season with a club option. My bad. He’ll prob be fine then. That’s good, though I like him, we could use that cap space.

Good. I thought it was a bit early yet to be making that kind of commitment to 2025 roster contruction. But MLS, so nothing is ever completely surprising
I think he's joking about the nationalities of the people who tend to work in parking garages throughout DC.
Anyone know when Kasper's contract is up? I seem to remember a 3 year contract a few years ago. Last thing I can find on his contract is from 2020: https://www.mlssoccer.com/news/report-dc-united-giving-gm-dave-kasper-multi-year-extension-new-title
I saw Chad Ashton wandering around the club level at the stadium on Saturday, so he's still employed by the team.
We're an employment program for losing soccer leadership who no other team will take. I wish I had a boss who didn't measure performance.
Maybe he got a lifetime club-level ticket as part of one of his years of compensation and that's the only place he can eat on his unemployment benefits.
I've learned over the years that there's a certain kind of management-level employee whose sole job skill is impressing their higher-ups.
There are two kinds of workers, in general. Those who do the work and those who try to claim credit. There is much less competition in the first group.
oh boy, where to start.... and they are doubling down on "...the United." ugh. A Letter from Danita Johnson On behalf of the entire team, we wanted to take a moment to thank you - whether this is your first year with us or you’ve been part of our journey for seasons on end. The fact remains that we are incredibly lucky to have your support. It’s an honor to have you in our Black-and-Red family. This season has been an incredible journey, filled with unforgettable moments on and off the field. We started with an exciting Fan Fest at THRōW Social DC, where we welcomed a capacity crowd. Fans met with our players and heard about our new merch collaborations, in-stadium culinary options, and community initiatives. We followed that with the "State of the United" event featuring Ally, Troy, and myself, where we had an opportunity to talk candidly about the club. While the results have been mixed on the field, we’ve celebrated some big wins, including our Home Opener, where Christian Benteke scored an electrifying hat trick in front of a sold-out crowd at Audi Field, as well as the dramatic 2-1 win over Nashville SC in July. We've also faced some tough losses, but the resilience and determination shown by the team in these moments are genuinely inspiring and create optimism for the future. Despite the challenges we've faced, Lesesne’s high-pressing and entertaining soccer philosophy is clear, and the team remains firmly in the chase for playoffs with six matches remaining! It’s these moments – the ones we make together - that will last a lifetime. From day one, I’ve focused on four key areas: (1) Streamlining communication to ensure that no one misses the Moments that Matter; (2) Improving the in-stadium fan experience; (3) Growing the fanbase and packing the stadium for every match and (4) Building impactful community programs. We are proud of many things as we reflect on the first half of 2024, but here are some highlights of how we have worked to enhance the D.C. United Season Ticket Member experience: • Expanding our Black-and-Red family: We’ve welcomed many new faces into our full-season ticket fanbase, and it’s been thrilling to see our family grow. More fans in the stadium bring more energy and excitement to everyone. • Bringing world-class talent to Audi Field: Hosting Celtic FC, and the USWNT was a fantastic experience for all of us. These matches brought high-caliber international play to your doorstep, and we can’t wait to bring even more next season. • Building stronger communities: We’re committed to giving back. We’ve pledged to build 10 mini soccer fields for kids across D.C. and partnered with incredible organizations like Twinning Project, City Blossoms, DC Central Kitchen, and Humane Rescue Alliance to give back to our community in meaningful ways. With 2025 on the horizon, we’re planning even more to ensure every visit to Audi Field is an unforgettable experience. I’m committed to continually creating opportunities that enhance the value for our loyal fans to enjoy soccer in what I feel is the best stadium in the DMV. Here’s a preview of what’s to come in 2025: • Enhancements to Our Premium Areas: We have exciting changes planned for the premium areas during the off-season, and I can’t wait to share more details next month. • Expansion of Your Member Discount Options: We will continue to enhance our member discount options so you can access these benefits across the DMV and surrounding areas • Bring Back Premium Soccer Events to Audi Field: We’ll continue seeking high-caliber international soccer opportunities, bringing the world’s best to your backyard. Thank you again for being with us—whether you’re a longtime supporter or new to the Black-and-Red family. We appreciate every cheer, every chant, and every moment you’ve spent with us. Here’s to the memories we’ve made and the ones still to come! Let’s close out the season strong! Danita Johnson President, Business Operations
I remember when the club had United for DC as their major charity arm., I was a game day volunteer for a few of their events at RFK. Fund raisers included the pre-season kick-off and post-season luncheons/dinners with team members at the tables. I hope that gets revived.
Got my renewal email! I’ve requested my opt-out form from my ticket rep! Let’s do this!! I assume he will call and try and change my mind?
I am guessing a lot of people didn't hear about the new mech, concession and initiatives because they did meet the guys behind the table who don't want to be there on a Friday night instead of a Saturday afternoon. Not that it would have made a difference in my decision process.
