This seems to be a nice development - just reeceived from my DCU rep: (I wonder what they are gonna cost....) The FIFA World Cup 26™ in Canada, Mexico, and the United States will be the largest sporting event the world has ever seen and demand for premium tickets & experiences will be unprecedented. Major League Soccer has partnered with On Location to offer D.C. United Season Ticket Member an exclusive, early access window to purchase Official Hospitality packages. This provides you with unparalleled access to premium match-day experiences before they become available to the general public. We will be reaching out to you directly with more information over the next several weeks, inclusive of specific timelines, packages, and prices. Please note that on Thursday, November 21, FIFA and On Location will announce a Priority Access Deposit program that gives the general public an opportunity to reserve a spot in line to purchase FIFA World Cup 26™ Official Hospitality packages. Because you are a D.C. United Season Ticket Member, you WILL NOT participate in this program given you will be able to purchase in the previously mentioned exclusive window PRIOR to the general public, directly from your team representative. Thank you for being a D.C. United Season Ticket Member.
You get to go into the stadiums in the line that is not being staffed by Homeland Security and ICE thugs harassing attendees for their papers
The WC is going to be more bogus than normal because many teams will be decimated becuase many of their players won't be able to get visas.
whatever happened to the two Ghanian players who defecated during this Fall's Capital City Africa Cup at former EagleBank Arena East stadium? ETA: dang auto-correckt, I meant "defected."
Did anyone here go to the equipment sale this past Saturday? I was hoping to but my son's team (which I manage/asst coach) had a tournament (final went to pens, he saved 2!) so I don't feel bad. But I am wondering if they had any field coats...? But I have been hoping to get a "new" team parka - my current one is from a circa 2010 equipment sale and the VW and adidas logos have pretty much disappeared. Wazza looked really warm in the parka he used to wear in August-Sept-Oct and I am hoping to find one of those - but MLS.bomb doesnt advertise them and I have not have been able to otherwise figure out even which model coat it is (despite requests to the team for at least that info). Any info/help is appreciated.
Past experience tells me that this will be no better than just about everyone else who is looking to buy tix. I guess my "membership" ended at the last game rather than the last event of the year, because I sure as hell didn't get an email about it. The last time I saw coats was the last season at RFK or maybe the next to last season, when I got one of those long grey coats. Did they have the locker room sale the last season at RFK?
I've been to equipment sales at Audi Field but the impression I got from the email I received didn't suggest that this thing was it. It just seemed to be a sale at the DC United store when somethings were up to 40% off.
There were two sales. One was equipment from the team, and proceeds went to DC United Foundation. The other was merchandise at the club store.
