    Man Utd v Man City/Tottenham
    Tranmere v Swansea
    Telford/Millwall v Burnley
    Sunderland v Birmingham
    Sheff Utd v Coventry/Colchester
    Arsenal v Chelsea
    Liverpool v Portsmouth
    Everton/Fulham v West Ham

not bad considering. we're still not playing well enough, imo, to take on Arsenal or Chelsea yet.

I'm just glad it's at home....

Arsenal drew Chelsea but still get to play at Highbury...

Jeez - that's a tough draw for ARSe and Chelsea. And a tough draw for us - TOT or Citeh. And for Liverpool as well - what team wants to face Teddy?!?!?!

Seems like a strange allotment this year though with Tranmere vs Swansea, etc... It seems as though all the EPL teams play each other in the 5th round w/ the lower division teams playing one another. Yes, I know that isn't the reality completely but it's pretty close!

I'd have prefered playing Swansea or Tranmere :)

I kind of like the draw, tbh. I think I'd have actually been more worried about Millwall or Sheffield United.

That that Man City or Tottenham are worse (obviously not)... but because I could imagine SAF deciding that a reserve team could beat Sheff Utd... and then promptly losing.

IMO, our first team has a better chance of beating mediocre Prem opposition than our 2nd team has of beating a good 1st division team... especially in a game where the other side has more to win.

Agreed. Its good for us to stay on our toes.

Still, I think its become obvious that in the realm of the "holy treble", the importance of the FA Cup to SAF has fallen far below that of the Premiership and the Champions League. I don't know if thats a general consensus in England with fans of the top teams. I still think its a great tournament, along the lines of our NCAA Basketball tournament.

According to soccertv.com, Setanta will show this game live in pubs only at 7:30am EST on Feb 14, and on tape delay PPV at 10am EST on Directv, Dish etc.
Thanks Setanta. Why should anyone pay $15.95 for a tape delayed game?

With Citeh's comeback win Wednesday, it will be a derby from Old Trafford on the 14th.

    Brilliant.

But do you really think a City player's leg is "massive" enough to hit a ball 200 yards, even an errant ball?

I'm sure we're all going to hear before the game how City is now a "team of destiny" and that "they'll be up for this game, against their fiercest rival" (kind of one-sided, eh?), and that "FA Cup Magic" will mean you can "toss the form book out the window."

Whatever. They stink. Their defense is even worse than ours. And we don't start a pasty little striker who vaguely resembles a slug and moves even slower than one.
