Wow, it will be interesting to see how that works out...with the ban on testing and all, Schumi has no time to get accustomed to the car...
You knew that Massa was nearly killed last weekend, right? And now MS is going to replace him @Ferrari...?
Saw the interveiw Massa did on ESPN (International?). My favorite comment was when Massa said "He will be driving my car." I loved Massa saying that the greatest driver in the history of F1 will be driving his car.
TBH, I had to check... So, according to Wiki it was in 1999 with a Minardi. Also, I did not remember he was an F3000 champion in 1992. Strange though that they don't field Marc Gené in a race located in Valencia ; maybe he's racing for Peugeot that week end ? Too bad for Schumi that his passion for bikes was actually the nail in the coffin of his return ambitions, he's tried so hard. Maybe it's better that way. In other news, the Renault has stationed its trucks at the other Valencia circuit, the Ricardo Tormo. They're still awaiting the FIA's decision on their European GP ban on August the 17th. Rumours say they'll get fined and have a suspended punishment. That's good for the Spanish crowd...Grosjean may become official once the decision is finally out.
Agreed. Love to see him get the chance. Maybe next season. He is reportedly looking for a ride with one of the new teams.
F1 is of those worlds where rumours are usually right... Renault gets away with $50,000 fine Valencia was a dull race last year but Singapore could have been so if the safety car did not intervene. let's hope we'll have an exciting race with the 2009 cars.
Barrichello wins the European Grand Prix at Valencia. http://news.bbc.co.uk/sport2/hi/motorsport/formula_one/8216878.stm. McLaren didn't get tires ready in time for Hamilton's pit stop. That track area looks like a glorious place to be on a sunny day. I had forgotten how badly Luca Badoer sucks. Spa is next week, IIRC. Should be fun.
Badoer should stay for Spa, it's just this week end. A lot of names in the list to possibly replace him after though ! Hülkenberg, Piquet jr, Davidson, Fisichella, Bourdais, etc. *** Indian government rules that Formula 1 is not a sport...
Schumacher renounced to come back because of a persisting neck pain... " Pleeeaaase Michael !! Get out of my car !! If you take my place, they won't give it back to me !! " On the transfer market, it's already lively on Renault's side... Kubica, Heidfeld : "Where are you going ?" Alonso : "At Ferrari" Piquet : "At dad's" http://www.webringf1.com/forum-f1/d...870.html?sid=65df3f5f1e0c007ea13b29280128433a
