One of my good friends is Ecuadorian and he was telling me that he met a player from FC patria last time he was in Queens, NY.. is there a webpage for this club and do they still have fans?
No, His dad's best friend friend growing up played for the club also.. These guys are in their 50-60's..
YES, your boy was not breaking your balls, there was a team called PATRIA.It was one of the best Ecua teams, played some Libertadores. I think that team does not excist at this time.
I think they might be one of the oldest clubs in Ecuador 1905? He was telling me Patria is still around down in the third division and one was once one the biggest clubs in Guayaquil. Norte America is another old club from Guayaquil that is still around with alot of history. http://www.rsssf.com/tablese/ecuaalltime.html http://www.rsssf.com/tablese/ecuacostachamp.html http://www.rsssf.com/tablese/ecua-amachamp.html
I really enjoyed reading this article about Ecuador futbol good ole' days... Patria is mentioned in this article... check it out: http://www.revistaestadio.com/impresa/1473/cont3.htm
lol, not really. F.C. Patria is a futbol team that had great prominence in the 50's and 60's. I should know, my uncle played for them at that time : Fortunato Chalen - Centre Back http://clubsportpatria.com/img_mas_chb.php?id=23 ^ first one, bottom left http://clubsportpatria.com/img_mas_chb.php?id=14 ^ first one, top left
Damn ... F.C. Patria... that's taking it back... I would loooove for there to be more teams in GYE to add more to the mix and competition.
Absolutely not, there's no more Valdez either, nor Everest, beside Patria(which is very much alive in 3rd dividsion, Tanque Hurtado played for them last year, Carabali, Energio Diaz) Barcelona end Emelec is all that is left,
I wish Patria was in the first division like the old times... Barcelona needs a worthy opponent or more in the neighborhood.. Barcelona along with the pitufos is all that has survived from guayaco futbol history. I want to see Manta FC and Portoviejo come the 1st div as well.
excellent videos: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=sr_MZkt0MHc http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xmvn3886KL4&feature=related
My father told me some stories of F. C. Patria. He told me that they were a good team, years ago. I will ask me for more details in the future.
F. C. Patria is in the Second Division in Ecuador. Eduardo "El Tanque" Hurtado of 40 years of age will be playing for that team for this season. I heard this report in Ecuavisa.
Re: C.S Patria? What pisses me off more than anything is that mario canessa took that piece of shit mother********ing shitfest ********ing ******** worthless ******** retarded ********ing River ******** club to the second division instead of Patria
my dad told me about FC Patria. don't know much about them. that psychopath bipolar man (Marcos Hidalgo) is in this video haha haven't heard of him in a while he's been hiding.
My hat is off to your uncle. El "Cholo" Chalén was quite a player from the 60's era. I remember watching this team play in the 1st. Division along with Everest, Nueve de Octubre, Norte América, América de Quito, Inecel...and a few more that escape memory. Patria...or "El Decano"..used to practice sometimes at the Piscina Olímpica complex, they would share space with Everest, Nueve and N.A.,..they would also use the "Estadio Modelo Guayaquil"..AKA "Estadio Alberto Spencer" with the afore mention teams. My first time in this forum...and this particular post brought memories of days gone by. Thank you for allowing me. ECUA57 = BARCELONA DE GUAYAQUIL 4EVER!!! ¡ARRIBA LA TRICOLOR!
