Arsenal will be wearing red in the Cup Final but have been allocated the "unlucky" dressing room! Time that jinx was broken anyway!
Didn't we have the unlucky changing room last year? If not, we definitely had it against Liverpool in the Charity Shield and won. Therefore jinx already broken!
I believe otters right because I sat down in my yellow jersey to watch the game and had to run back upstairs to change.
What is the history of this jinx? Does it go back to all those losses at Wembley, or is it a new thing specific to Cardiff? If that's where they're playing, which is what I assume...
It relates to the Millenium Stadium, Cardiff only. The F.A. Cup has always been won by the team stationed in the same dressing room. As this has been going on since the F.A. Cup has been played there, teams now even "toss up" to see who gets that particular dressing room. As I said, let's hope it ends this Cup Final.
Jeff, wasn't it until last season that the "curse" was not broken for any competition at Cardiff? I thought commentators mentioned it happened during the playoffs as well. I don't remember the game that "broke the curse" but I think it was at least a year or two after the first game at the Millenium Stadium.
I think they brought in some Fung Shei (you know, that space thing) expert, painted a mural in the unlucky room and then the curse was broke...not sure who broke it though.
