The last second of extra time has just ticked off. How long will I have to wait to find out who the next oppenent for the US is?
I am sitting in front of my TV, the U.S. vs Jamaica game has just ended. How long do I have to wait to find out who the next opponet for the U.S. is? Will Concacaf announce it the next day? Do that wait for a month? Do they wait for whenever they feel like it? How long do you have to wait to find out who you next opponent it?
Umm, the last USA Jamaica game was shown on TV a couple of months ago. Ching scored the equalizer. Our next opponent is Jamaica at Columbus in November. Is that the game you just watched? If so, who started? Who scored? What ratings are you going to give the players? Did Eddie Johnson have a hat trick again? Did Gooch Onyewu get any PT? Did Robbie Russel make an impact? Has Roy Lassiter acquired the getaway car so that we can misappropriate some TV sets, hopefully yours?
Re: Extra time for U.S. vs Jamaica has ended, how long of a wait to find out who is n Since I understand what you are getting at, I thought I'd do a little research for you... Last cycle, there was a press release from CONCACAF on November 1st annoucning that the draw for the final round would be held on November 19th, which was 4 days after the final Semifinal match was played. If things hold about the same I would expect the draw to be held around the 21st or so, since November 17th is the final Semifinal matchday. So going back to your scenario, the last second of time has just ticked off after the Wednesday night game, I'd say you'll have to wait until Monday to find out who the first opponent is for the US. Does that help?
Bigrose30 thanks for the info. I did some searching googling myself and wasn't having much luck. Thanks.
Instead of googling yourself, maybe you should google FIFA or CONCACAF. you might get more information that way.
Just read an article on USSoccer.com and found this. The Draw for the final round won't happen until Dec 15-17. http://www.ussoccer.com/news/fullstory.sps?inewsid=120311 "The framework of the schedule has already been established. Teams are currently represented as a number between 1-6, with the numbers having been laid out on a grid designating the dates on which they will play their home and away matches. After the conclusion of the semifinal round, a draw will take place at the FIFA Executive meetings from Dec. 15-17 in Zurich to assign each team a number that will correspond to their schedule."
Although we'd better have at least two friendlies between US/Jamaica and the first Final Round qualifier announced by that draw (Feb. 9)! When USSF will announce those, nobody knows!
Re: Extra time for U.S. vs Jamaica has ended, how long of a wait to find out who is n No problem...I was curious about this myself...to know where and when the good games will be (Mexico, Costa Rica) so maybe I could actually attend them.
