Want to express your displeasure about the team's performance?

Do not enter RFK on Saturday night. Leave the Nest and La Norte totally empty.

Show them that we will not tolerate their crappiness.

When Stephen Zack sees the first announced crowd under 9,000 in three years at RFK for a league game, he will know it is time to fire Ray.

They count tickets sold, not the number of people who come through the turnstyles.

I'll wear my jersey with the three stars on it.

(I might kill the keg by myself before the game though)

I'll bet anyone on this board a bottle of water at RFK (I can't buy beer) that we don't get him but Metro does if they don't win the Cup this year.

    I am dead serious.

Didn't the screaming eagles pay for a small plane to fly over RFK with big letters demanding Rongan be fired 2 yrs ago?

Wasn't SE. That was arranged by someone here on the boards. But the FAA has made such flights illegal now ... post 9/11.

I think the saying goes "Fool me once shame on you, fool me twice shame on me". How does it go for fool me four times? Four years of putting a crap team on the field and then expecting people to keep coming. The team may have set a season ticket record this year (maybe based on all the new players brought in), but its going to be a he!! of a job selling them next year if this team doesn't turn it around. Sports are an entertainment business, but I haven't seen any entertainment at RFK for a number of years.

    No, we can't.

I would like one, just one, of you stupid crack-smoking, metro-loving, incontinent love-childs to explain to me why in the name of hell we could expect a better performance if we sacked the coach.

    Just one. Anyone? Bueller?

We're stuck. Get used to it. No one can make these guys win. It ain't the coach. It's the players. There's no magical cure, there's no lightning in a bottle, there's nothing. We ARE the new-look Revs.

You can fire all the coaches in the world. It won't make a damn bit of difference. You could cut three-quarters of the roster, and start over from scratch, and it wouldn't make a damn bit of difference. We're at 7 games, and the season is OVER. We can't even catch the fourth place team given all of our games in hand and an extra.

The coach isn't the problem. The players are the problem. I'm packing it in. Nothing and no one is going to change the performance this year. I'm watching MLS to see what happens now, not to root for a team.

It'd be nice to root for a competitive team. Wake me up when we see one.

Well Jason La Canfora confirmed in this recent article that Adu is only interested in playing for United. I'll take that bet.

    Dear Mr. mellon002,

We're paying Freddie Adu a million dollars. A million bucks can buy you a lot of things. One of the things it can buy you is for a 14-year-old to change his mind and realize that the Nike-made shirts that the MetroStars wear really are his style.

    Just something to think about.

    Love,
    Phil Knight
