I wouldn't hold my breath. I read the article too. What I got out of it was "we're looking to make expansion plans within the next year." That could mean plans set next September. It's not happening until 2004 at the absolute earliest.

I'd like to take the opportunity to throw out a wild&crazy idea. How about.... San Juan, Puerto Rico? I have no idea how much interest in soccer there is there, but MLB is apparently pondering it as a possible new home for the Expos, it's certainly not an oversaturated sports market, and if the interest is there, you should be able to pull a good rockin 20-30k crowd, even on Sat. afternoon TV broadcasts. Discuss.
