This is getting really annoying. Even head bands can't prevent sweat from dripping across my face. I squeezed out about half a 20 oz. bottle in 2 hours of scrimmaging minus the ones that I bend over and drips to the ground and the ones that I whipe off from my face. Any tips from anyone?
try Botox...maybe a start to some future products to treat your issue.... FDA okays Botox for sweating Injectable skin treatment may now be used to fight profuse underarm sweating, as well as wrinkles. July 20, 2004: 9:56 AM EDT WASHINGTON (Reuters) - Allergan Inc.'s Botox, known for diminishing facial wrinkles, won its fourth U.S. approval, this time to treat sweaty armpits, the company said Tuesday. The injectable skin treatment is already approved in the United States to treat frown lines and certain muscle spasms in the neck and eye. Unlike cosmetic Botox shots, which are deep enough to penetrate muscle, the sweat-suppressing shots are superficial. I sweat even more! Some people just do it better. Some barely break a sweat..John Havlicek of the Boston Celtics was famous for that.. He looked like he had been sitting in a park in Nome, Alaska in January at half time.. Medically, it's not good to be like him so be glad for that.. Just be sure to hydrate a whole lot, duh.. I tried two headbands but it just seemed to make me hotter (a lot of heat is released from the head and feet). I have no solution for you.. BTW: be careful of "solutions" when used in a sports setting as some can be dangerous if you NEED to sweat..Ask a doctor.
i sweat a lot also... is there an explanation to it?(do any body functions, say like metabolism , affect it?)
I hardly sweat at all but sweat some, it doesn't really matter does it? Unless you're really hairy too and look like an ape
I usually play for like, 3 hours on Saturdays and Im nearly bone dry at the end of it all, no matter how hot it gets. Probably not very healthy.
Have you ever seen a close up of a basketballers face? Those guys sweat like litres every game. Some people sweat more than others, I wouldn't worry too much about it.
Dude I pour sweat, when I play, I am gald I do too it regulates your body temp. plus you look lazy if you don't sweat
The worst is when you've had gel in your hair and you sweat and it runs in your eyes! It stings so much!
move to a colder place, i barely sweat so I don't feel your pain. i think that sweating has more to do with genetics than anything else. and hey, jc18star, i run hard on the field, i just don't sweat that much.
apparently the more you sweat, the more fit you are (because your body is used to working hard), although i agree to a degree ,not always true
As an excessive sweater myself, I say just don't play as hard. Walk alot so you don't get too hot. And when your teammates yell at you to get back and play some D, just say, "I can't, I have excessive sweating". They'll understand.
Its definetly not true because I consider myself to be very fit. In fact, I have such a low blood pressure that I black out after standing up from relaxing for more than 25 minutes because my brain does not have enough blood in it.

Wow, I am flattered that you would spend so much time writing that for me. I was just confirming that statement with my post.
