Until I watched that video, I don't know that I could have correctly told you whether Michael Bradley still played in the league.
Sebastian Saucedo on the field for UNAM Pumas in the Concacaf Champions League against the Revs. It's on FS1 right now.
Good for Bofo. He's where he belongs. Not on RSL. I mean no disrespect. He faked left and went right and no one saw it coming.
Good guess. He was inside the box and not at the top but it looked exactly like all of his other goals.
I didn't even realize it until you starting talking about it, but that is exactly how the goal looked in my mind... Guess he is developing nicely...
He's starting for Pumas, so he certainly isn't having a rough go of it. Not that Pumas are a top Liga MX team, but they have a rich history and very short leash on players.
That's a nice goal. Crappy defending to give him the ball in that space, but he put it away perfectly.
If it isn't paywalled, I recommend this excellent article about Nelson Akwari from SoccerAmerica. Dr. Akwari is up to some very interesting things.
Seba v. Rusnak is on in the CCL final. First time Seattle has its first choice lineup all season, and Albert starts at the 8. Saucedo on the bench for Pumas.
Chris Seitz with an interesting take on his last year with DCU and Hernan Losada. A thread about when fitness and daily lifestyle in pro sports was taken to far. And how it can affect a pros mental health. I will start out by saying i was one of the big boys, from year one at RSL i was a member of the fat camp. Every coach i ever had questioned my figure.— Chris Seitz (@Seitzy1) May 10, 2022
Don't laugh at this, but Albert Rusnak is a de facto defensive midfielder for the rest of the year for Seattle with Joao Paulo out for the season. With star Joao Paulo out for the season, Sounders will lean more on Albert Rusnak's defense
Somehow the idea of relying on Rusnak as a key defender does not sound great. But as much as I hate saying it he could make it happen.
He played some of his best moments as a deep lying playmaker. That is often confused with a defensive midfielder given they overlap with their position on the field. Rusnak has shown little to no ability to be that bulldog type defensive midfielder that Paulo was/is. This would be like Gattuso going down for the early 00's Milan team and saying "yeah, Pirlo will cover it".
