I was watching Gol TV News tonight and they were showing a report on Ecuadorian club Barcelona's presentation and exhibition match for their new season. During the report i was suprised to see Peter Villegas being interviewed. Apparently he is a new player with that team and gets playing time. Thought i'd post this info since he's been off the radar screens for awhile and thought you'd be interesting in knowing what an ex-metro is currently up to. Later.
Just kidding very cool guy though, he thought he was maradona at times but he was very good to the team in 2000, then i dunno what happened to the guy seemed like could have been something great.
Yea it did seem at the end as if he felt he was high almighty.....I remember him from his amateur days in the mid 90's playing in a latin league in Union, NJ....Wasn't all that impressive there but looked better once he settled in with the Metros.....After he got traded to DC he really lost it and then i never heard of him again till tonight.....Now that he's getting a good shot let's hope he takes advantage of it and doesn't let it get to his head again....I remember hearing when he was with the Metros that he wanted to earn a call up for the Ecuadorian National Team.....Maybe playing down there with a popular team will help him with that goal....Best of luck to him....Later.
his name is splelt with 2 T's... Petter Villegas, which makes him sound like he likes animals to much or little boys to much..
