Kelyn Acosta is so out of shape that not only did he not make the squad for Pogon's first post winter break matchup, but he is not even training with the team. He is training individually so that he can get his fitness levels up to a point where he can match the intensity needed to train with the team.
He is rich. He has made a few teams (including the Fire) some damn nice transfer fees! He has managed to see more of the world than most people. Pretty good for a 22 year old who does not really seem to like his chosen profession. There is a Jhon Duran thread in the Colombian forum which I have been following a bit over the past couple of years. They have turned on him lately.
That's a bummer. The turning on him point, that is. I think it's kinda cool you follow other threads. I'm too lazy to find the ones I might enjoy.
I can see obviously why he would go to the (Sucky) EPL and I can also see why he would suddenly follow the life changing money to the Saudi league but after doing a little time there and getting the financial boulder over the hill to where a fella doesn't have to worry about starving to death I would have for sure settled in with a club in a location I wanted to be in. I guess he's just a rolling stone and I wouldn't want him in my locker room from everything I've seen.

TRIGGER WARNING!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! LOOKING BACK AND FORWARD: Former USMNT, MLS standout Acosta has accomplished a lot, but wants much more https://www.frontrowsoccer.com/2026...a-has-accomplished-a-lot-but-wants-much-more/
I don't think his move to Poland will enhance his chances of making the World Cup squad this year as he had hoped in an interview with him I read last month.
"Picked up"? QUINCY TIME!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! AV ALTA FC 0 – 1 Valley 559 FC Fresno, Calif.-based UPSL side Valley 559 FC secured a stunning upset against USL League One professionals AV ALTA FC, joining Asheville City SC as the only other side to down professional clubs on the second day of the First Round. The first-ever matchup between the pair of California foes was largely even throughout the contest, though the difference came from the most unlikely of sources. 38-year-old and former MLS Cup champion Quincy Amarikwa secured the upset victory with a diving header at the far post to seal Valley 559 FC’s first Open Cup victory. https://www.ussoccer.com/stories/20...59-fc-prevail-against-professional-opposition
