Those guys were(are?) better than Fabi & Souquet…

I always liked both those guys

Luka got pushed to the bench inexplicably, as I remember it

That was frustrating. Apparently he was kinda shitty about MLS at first and didn’t take it seriously and got benched. But once he came around he put in 110% but was still ignored and left to rot.

Apparently the ‘kinda shitty’ slander came out of Luka calling out the ‘different treatment/asks for some players’…cough*Medran*cough…
And the asst. coaches told him to STFU…he escalated it to Wicky…and it resulted in him being put in the dog house…and the Real Madrid flunky was (still) given carte blanche to be a disconnected, disruptive, individual on the pitch.

Yes, especially Stojanovic. He was miles better than Herbers. It is not even a comparison.

Herbers "skill" is that he will do whatever is asked and occupy almost any position on the field. I guess that such a "utility" player has some value. And he is a fine squad player, but should not be a starter.

Note, the question "Who starts ahead of him on this team?" is not a valid question.

In fact, it sadly answers itself.

Sekulic was also better than Souquet, but that is not saying much

Was Kasper playing in a two striker formation?

Looks to me like Lugano started in a 4-2-3-1 and Kacper replaced the RW in the 60th. I don’t know if they kept the formation or moved him up, or whatever.

  13. Lugano just sold their top striker to QPR and his backup is injured. Aliseda started at striker. They're looking to buy a striker, but Kacper has a chance to impress.

He SHOULD be MVP of MLS.

Oh, you mean highest valuation. Yep, I suspect he would be!

Don't know anything insider-like, but following along he had a bit of a roller coaster (had to earn minutes, had some good minutes, picked up a ding and other 'talent' in the pipeline kept him in a sub role...he met and married his wife...and after she became pregnant, twitter chatter was his agent began looking for a return to MLS...including back to the Fire, but as a DP and Heitz couldn't/wouldn't make it work.

Regarding "improved more than expected"...he showed it in Montreal and got great experience at AZ...so I'd say he is fulfilling his potential.

Some may say they are to similar, but it would have been fun to have watched a 3-5m-2 with Djorde and Guti...
