    From Dallas Burn press release:

"The Dallas Burn announced today that John Trask has been named as Assistant Coach. Trask, 38, spent the 2002 and 2003 seasons as Assistant Coach with DC United."

Well I'm sure John will enjoy the strip bars in Dallas. :D Good to see he's back in the league.

Why do you say that? He didn't get any PT from Trask last season...

    ;)
(no, I'm not really that stupid)

Good for Trask. I'm glad he's back in the league, I hope he gives us a shout when he's back in town. Maybe it's a good excuse to finally take a trip to Dallas.

Now we can watch the tactical unraveling of the Burn.

And they're already having trouble scoring goals...

In all seriousness though, I think Trask will do well focusing on improving Dallas' wealth of defenders, without having the responsibility of being in over his head basically controlling the team as was the case with United.

    Brilliant!

I hope the Inferno have some post-match drink-ups planned.

With the worst record in the league and not having been competitive in the last four matches some improvement is the only posssibility left for the Burn. Perhaps Trask can provide something positive.

Yeah, Jolley will learn how to backpass to a teammate instead of into the goal.

Lemme 'splain. For the first few matches this year, the Burn looked to be a vastly improved, cohesive team over last year's amateur hack side. O'Brien is the main reason. They've lost a little of that form recently, but are still dangerous. I think Trask heading there is just what we in DC need.

Trask reminds me of Norman Dale before Jimmy Chitwood saved his ass.

Personally, I would like to send my congrats to John. He is a great guy who has a passion for the sport and one he bought me more than one beer at the bar. I always got the impression that on the major coaching issues John did not see eye to eye with Hudson and would have run things differently if it were his ship. I always though he got a lot of undeserved blame. It is true he ran practices but he had to work within the lineup constraints set by Hudson. Good luck John.

In 2004 John took a little trip
    First to good ole England.
    Then across the Mississip.

    He took defensive knowledge.
    Preferring men of grit.
    He'll dance on your body
If you think he's gonna quit.

    etc.

Now Rev., doesn't that bring back fine despedida memories? On the rather ironic date of 9/11, bartenders all over DC will be celebrating the Traskmaster's return! ;)

Look for the trade to bring Dema to Dallas sometime in the near future.

That was a good time... :)

Good on yah. Congrats to John and I hope you are thoroughly unsuccessful in getting the Burn to play well against DC. :D

I'm looking forward to the Dallas game now - getting to yell Traitor at Gibbs and hang out with Trask...
