The creepy analysis of Clark Hunt's daughter has taken this thread to a new, unimaginable low, and it's making me nauseous. Has anyone heard what Pete Marino is up to these days?
Some Google-Fu shows that he's 49 and lives in Florida. He retired from playing soccer sometime after 2007. Apparently he's still living up to his "sneaky" nickname because not much else seems to be out there.
Ladies and gentlemen, I hope none of you have just eaten. Your 2022 Doug Hamilton award winning MLS Executive of the Year: Andy Loughnane, Austin FC Now if you'll excuse me I need to go punish my fingers for typing that.
Gyasi is at Austin now. He was treated not well his final half season here. I am beginning to squint at who is the hero and who is the villain.* *Precourt will always be a convenient villain, for the record.
Honestly, I don’t hate Austin the team or Josh Wolff. I’ll never cheer for them, but I don’t hate them specifically. Who I do hate is Precourt and all the FO/admin people who stabbed Cbus in the back, actively sabotaged things, literally ran the MLS2ATX website from the Crew HQ, etc. And Alexi Lalas. Edit: And whenever Garber finally grows the balls to schedule Austin in Cbus, I will 100% be at that game and screaming and booing like it’s MLS Cup Final.
Genuinely happy for Gyasi. It's a great situation for him. He knows Wolff and Wolff seems to appreciate him. He moves to a contender and one of the exciting teams in the league. He plays in front of what MLS players named the top atmosphere in MLS (or one of the top). After the disrespect he received at the end of his time here, I'm sure he'll be treated better in Austin by the organization, and by the fans and soccer experts. I wish him only the best. I hope he claims whatever trophies Columbus doesn't next season.
It was same for me. That's why I posted. Never heard of her before. Although I think she is Ms. Kansas or something like that. Anyone else remember the days when we would sit with our parents and watch Miss America pageant, the Oscars, the Grammy's etc.? Couldn't tell you the last time I watch any of those. MTV Music Awards - occasionally but that's it.
Gracie Hunt was Miss Kansas and a top 10 Miss USA Her mom - Clark's wife - was also Miss Kansas and IIRC was first runner up for Miss USA. (She's who you get to marry when you have a couple billion dollars) Gracie is, or was, Lamar Hunts granddaughter. Just to point it out. She was supposedly a very good high school and club soccer player and wanted to play at SMU like her Dad but four concussions her senior year put an end to that. It does however show that she wasn't just out there trying not to break a nail. And finally, it might be pointed out, she stands to inherit both FC Dallas and the Kansas City Chiefs, along with her father's enormous financial empire and his palatial beach estate in the Caribbean. It's good to be Gracie.
I mean this in all honestly: Maybe I missed it but to me the fans loved and respected Gyassi and cheered him to the rafters. It was indeed an embarrassment and a show of disrespect to turn his job over to a kid who had done little to earn it and.who then went on to earn it less and less until there was reason to doubt Porter's sanity, honesty or integrity. It did very much seem like it was personal, but again, I myself didn't see anything much from the fans but love and respect. It's true that some fans, myself included, said a year or more ago that Gyassi had reached the age where a team ought to considering moving him while he still had good trade value, but that's just business not personal. I just didn't see all.this Zardes hate people keep referencing.
A fan yelled at me for doing the hey gyasi chant hoping porter would bring him on, saying it was disrespectful.
Gino Padula needs used shoes for donations. I've bolded the important stuff. Apparently they do NOT need to be soccer shoes/cleats.

Zack in goal for the FA Cup match against Brighton. I missed the 8th minute goal from Brighton, but the good guys just pulled one back and 1-1 at 15 minutes. On espn+, but had to search for it.
