Yessir! It was only like a dollar for the shuttle ride across the bridge from Stewart to Beacon rail station.
Crew Legend Lalas Abubakar scored his forth goal of the season last night for Colorado. Miguel Berry played another 90 minutes for DC United without registering a shot on goal.

Ouch, he coached my club team back in 97. Smack upside the head how everyone can can struggle with mental health. Feel for his family, tough times.
People used to complain that, while Rootes was indeed terrific at the job, it was patently obvious that to him it was never much more than a stepping stone to "a real job". There was probably more than a little truth to the claim but it was hard to blame him; he was an ambitious, bright and competent young sports executive who couldn't be expected to work cheap for the Hunts all his life. He had bigger goals and had every right to them. While in Columbus he was a very positive force in establishing and building the club from nothing. The fact that the people who came after him squandered all the good will and hard work he put in doesn't diminish his accomplishments. You do hate to see the "died due to mental health issues" meme; we all know what that's code for and it only makes the whole thing more tragic for his family. Sad news indeed.
This is devastating. Jamey was a class act who helped establish The Crew as a new team, in a new league, in a city that never had a major league sports team. He was Lamar Hunt's young protégé at the time. Lamar taught him well. Yes, The Crew probably was a stepping stone for Jamey, but he took his work with The Crew very seriously. I spoke with him in person many times and he was always engaging and passionate about The Crew and MLS. Mental health issues can affect anyone, reach out and help someone you know who is struggling.
None of my business what happened to him. I am curious if this is related to why he left his position with the Dynamo after a week or so. Wasn’t he hired as club president when the new owner bought them last year? Rootes didn’t last more than a couple of days. Could be from the mental health issues or could have caused them. We may never know.
Here's a statement from Tim Bezbatchenko. https://www.columbuscrew.com/news/s...resident-and-general-manager-tim-bezbatchenko
Been on my mind all day. Have a friend who has been struggling recently and the wife and I have been trying to get her to talk to someone. Need to push harder.
Wow, I did not even know that he went to the Dynamo after leaving the Texans. Here is a story about his departure after 18 days as club CEO. https://www.chron.com/sports/dynamo...-Jamey-Roots-quits-leaves-Texans-16304697.php
Team photographer Greg Bartram posted that photo to his FB page. The next home game is next Wednesday. I'm sure he'll be honored/remembered by the FO in some fashion and I really hope the great people at #TifoSweat can create something worthy for either that game or the Saturday game.
Crew Legend and Eternal Champion Gyasi Zardes scored his 10th league goal of the season last night in a Colorado win. Typical Zardes. Great movement off the ball. Find himself in the tightest of spaces. One touch. Clinical finish. Zardes is now averaging a goal every 198 minutes of league play. (For comparison, after an extremely hot start Cucho is at a goal every 122 minutes). He's now eclipsed his last season's goal output. Not bad for a guy who can't run. Can't dribble. Can't touch. And who our manager insisted was finished. MigueLOL Berry played 13 minutes for DC United last night. He did not record a shot on target. In fact, he has not recorded a shot on target since July 23. A stretch of 10 appearances and over 527 minutes. Migelol is averaging a league goal every 791 minutes. (For comparison, Erik Hurtdado is averaging a goal every 115 league minutes, and has equaled Miguelol's season total of 6 shots on target in 1,234 less minutes). I'll always remember Caleb Porter in regards to Miguel Berry, "I'd be silly not to play this kid." Woof.
I agree not sure but I’m thinking he might have a drug or alcohol problem . Or the Fo said if you want Zardes out you have to bench him
Your arguments are often pretty hard to follow, but who exactly are you implying might have a drug or alcohol problem? And how far up the dark recesses of your ass did you have to reach to extricate this tidbit of substanceless speculation?
I don't know why you guys are all surprised. I had TRUJDUB21 vaguely accuses a a player, coach, or poster of having a drug or alcohol problem on MY bingo card. The only surprise is that it took 30 weeks into the season to get here.
