San Francisco California 6:45 am So there I was, running the treacherous costal trails of San Francisco in my old 1980’s FMF jogging suit when out of nowhere, some guy starts giving me sh!t for Italy’s performance in WC02. I looked back and its some dude I’ve never seen before. “Hey” He said. “Why don’t you stop being a Euro snob and support good old US of A? After all we are the future of World soccer” So I just smiled and picked up the pace. A minute later he caches up to me and starts over “You know, we didn’t loose to Korea and didn’t” cry to FIFA when we were robed against the Krauts” (or something along those lines). By now I’ve had it and I point out that I’m wearing a TRI jogging suit and that if I were Italian I would most likely be wearing the Azurri. That rendered him speechless for about 10 seconds before he started telling me I should Support US soccer and not some “has been” CONCACAF power. That followed by incoherent statements about the greatness of the MLS, Mathis and McBride’s god status and how Mexican Jerseys where the ugliest things he ever saw. So, I think that’s It now you pay” I decided to sprint towards the remains of the old Cliff house by Ocean Beach with Uncle Sam right behind me, now all that is left of the structure is the foundation which is not often inundated with the ocean surf, so there is a lot of rotten algae and decomposing matter all around. Now EvilRick takes Mr. MLS running between the concrete beams above the filth and sooner rather than later he hears a “SH!T” exclamation followed by the sound of a heavy “SPLASH” Since EvilRick is not one to hold a grudge, I turned around and helped him out. I did however take a long exaggerated sniff and said “You know, US/MLS fans do stink!” (and yes, it did happen today)
heh, heh....that's a pretty good story. did I tell you about the one where the Mexican fans in Azteca tried to hit us with cups of piss, but it landed on a nice Mexican couple instead? heh, heh....that was a good one too.
that is how many fans (no mention of nationality) disapear in the many cliffs of california, every day! scratch here for a taste of algea......sniff....sniff
The 80's Tri warm up was blue? I don't believe it for a second. A real US fan wouldn't care about a second-rate soccer nation with a failing club structure like Italy...
Re: The 80's Tri warm up was blue? "Oh man, I'm so high right now, I don't know what the phuck is going on!!!
You shoulda kicked the guy's a$$ for being so goddamned insecure. It's America for Christ's sake, who gives a f-u-ck if you were wearing a Tri jogging suit. I hope that f-u-cker never comes upon me in my Holland gear.
Violence is not my way. Mark (we are in the first name bases now) just wanted to engage in a little trash talk, but I told him he crossed the line when he insulted my Chivas.
