Werner scored his 26th league goal today in 2-2 draw with FD who are in relegation zone. Proof that Werner makes the difference for Leipzig. Fortuna coach Rosler said that Werner's sub out in 76th min allowed them to have more men upfront in order to score. They scored twice after Werner was taken out to draw Leipzig 2-2. Basically Werner in XI forces teams to sit back otherwise he would destroy them with his speed.
Takes his tally to 45 goals/assists in 43 games in all competition this season. His Leipzig history is 133 goals/assists in 157 games those are some crazy numbers....
Specially when you think he doesn’t play for Bayern where there are lot of top class players who feeds Lewa every matchday
or that he did these things at the ages of 20, 21, 22, 23, 24 in his 4 seasons at the club. Lewa is also a lot older than Werner too.

Sports director Markus Krösche confirmed this in a media round: "It is Timo's decision that we have to accept and respect in this way." Instead, Werner wants to "prepare for the Premier League with Chelsea in August," said Krösche. In 2019/20 Werner is not eligible to play for Chelsea RB Leipzig is already in the quarter-finals of the Champions League. For Chelsea, the round of 16 second leg against Bayern is still pending. The Munich team won the first leg 3-0. Werner is not eligible to play in the current competition for his new employer. UEFA decided this on Wednesday. The question of whether Chelsea would even have released his newcomer for the tournament in Lisbon has lapsed in view of the striker's decision. In Chelsea, where Werner signed a five-year contract, he rose to the top earner with a weekly salary of the equivalent of 190,000 euros. RB Leipzig collects the sum of around 50 million euros fixed by the exit clause, Werner's ex-club VfB Stuttgart is entitled to around four million euros. RB will only partially put the transfer proceeds into the squad. "We cannot invest all of the income. We have to be extremely careful with the money and budget," emphasized Krösche, referring to the economic burdens caused by the corona pandemic. The preferred candidate for the vacant position in the attack is Bremen's Milo Rashica, who would have been available for a fixed 15 million euros in a Werder relegation. "From a sporting point of view, Timo's departure is without question a loss. He has a big part in the fact that we have been so successful in recent years and have been able to walk this way," said Krösche. Economically, the transfer for RB is the second highest sale in club history after Naby Keitas for almost 60 million euros to Liverpool. Four years ago, Leipzig had committed Werner for ten million euros from Stuttgart relegation team at the time, and four million euros in bonus payments. https://www.kicker.de/777821/artike...schnitt_keine_champions_league_fuer_rb#twfeed
Why are Leipzig worried about their finance, Red Bull is filthy rich lol. I mean they sell something like 5 billion cans worldwide every year. Much prefer seeing top German talent stay in the BL if possible, now Leipzig will probably replace Werner with another foreign player.
RB Leipzig are looking at Wissam Ben Yedder (29) as a possible replacement for Timo Werner. Monaco will demand €40 million for the French centre-forward. [Le10sport] #RBLeipzig— Red Bull Hub (@RedBullHub) June 18, 2020 this is very likely why they want Henrichs on loan+buying option. Because there aren't many Germans left. Just imagine if Klostermann gets bought soon. they will likely sign some more and more bullshit pro contracts. Eventually they'll give like 12 bullshit pro contracts half of their U19 team with 0 usage. Still the shittiest Academy out there. On that mark they seem headed for loaning their young players after they do 0 integration.

26 & 16 - Timo Werner's 26 Bundesliga goals for RB Leipzig this season have been worth more points (16) than any other players in the division. Value. pic.twitter.com/UcjHDK2jb5— OptaJoe (@OptaJoe) June 18, 2020 34 - New @ChelseaFC signing Timo Werner has been directly involved in 34 league goals this season (26 goals and 8 assists) - in Europe's top five leagues, only Messi (35) tops this total. Exciting. pic.twitter.com/UKHu6SN0Bn— OptaJoe (@OptaJoe) June 18, 2020
It will be interesting to see where Chelsea play him - an out and out striker, a winger, or a rotating group of 2 or 3 attackers. (Don't really follow Chelsea so I don't know what they currently have).
Förster has now come to the defense of his client, arguing that Werner doesn't deserve the criticism he's getting. "What annoys me is that Timo is not put in a corner and portrayed as a bad sportsman, who lets his teammates down. I have to disagree with that quite clearly," Förster told Sport1 and added: "It would have been anything but a good start for Timo at his new club if he had returned Leipzig after his holidays to prepare for the restart of the Champions League. "All involved parties - and not just Timo - decided that he will move to Chelsea on 1 July and not in mid or late August."

seems to love scoring when he's not playing at home, lol. 17 - With his 17th goal in away matches this season, @TimoWerner equals the reocrd of Jupp Heynckes from the 1973-74 season. Goodbye. #FCARBL pic.twitter.com/SLNCTnrELB— OptaFranz (@OptaFranz) June 27, 2020
lol even in his final game he proves to be a massive difference maker for Leipzig. I'm extremely curious to see how Leipzig does post Werner.
Can't say that I'm necessarily a fan of Werner's move to a club like Chelsea but regardless it'll be interesting to see how he does over there.
Working from home in Kanada this whole time. Couldn't go to Sweden. Werder Bremen sucked more than usual last season. Max Kruse played in Turkey. So I probably didn't miss too much.
