So that Ray Romano blockhead has signed for $40 to $50 million to do the next season of his show. Which amounts to maybe $2M per episode, making him the highest paid actor in TV history. I know I don't have much room to talk since I've never seen the show -- I have a long standing belief that the majority of people on a TV show should be better looking than me, and NONE of that cast is good looking. Can the show really be worth it? How on earth could it be funny with all those ugly people??
I also hated the show before watching it, but I gave it a chance and it's actually quite funny, especially Raymond, because he's such a whiner.
I don't watch it regularly, but I've seen a few episodes and I agree that it's pretty funny. I'm sure if I made a conscious effort to watch it I'd really appreciate it, but I just never made room for it in my rotation... The same holds true for Law and Order, which has been great every time I've watched it. But neither show ever really sucked me in...
I say class action lawsuit for false advertising against CBS...obviously everyone DOESN'T love Raymond including me. btw OhioDuran..nice name.
it's...it's...not good. I've given it a chance a couple of times (ok, pretty much forced to watch it when I visit my brother because he and his wife watch it), and I just don't get the hype. I will say that Peter Boyle is funny as the dad sometimes. I mean, just how many sitcoms can you have with the husband/wife/kids/inlaws formula?
I don't love Raymond. Never did. If I didn't need comedy so much on Mondays, I'd never watch it again. Although, I did enjoy the opening from a year or two ago, when his mother had the missing tooth.
Its not a terrible show.....I just can't stand Ray.....I mean I actually hate him.....I can't imagine how Ray and his mother have not been killed by his wife or brother at some point during the series......that would make a kick a$$ series finale........ MY IDEA!!!! Not a waste of a half hour but, I don't think it will go down as one of the top sitcoms of all time either.
