If we're serious about Europe for next season, three points here are a must-have. McBride will be starting for Everton in place of KevCam and Alessandro Pistone will be left out of the line-up in place of Tony Hibbert.

Don Hutchison, Lee Bowyer, Freddie Kanoute and Paolo di Canio are all unavailable for West Ham.

    Lineups:
Everton -- Wright; Hibbert, Weir, Stubbs, Unsworth; Watson, Gravesen, Gemmill, Naysmith; Radzinski, McBride. Subs -- Gerrard, Yobo, Li Tie, Rooney, Campbell.

West Ham -- James; Repka, Carrick, Sinclair, Defoe; Lomas, Pearce, Ferdinand, Johnson; Brevett, Cole. Subs -- van der Gouw, Dailly, Breen, Moncur, Cisse.

One year to the day since David Moyes took over ... great day for a win, I think I think.

Radzinski with a good early effort from Gravesen, header straight at Calamity James.

Quick counter from West Ham, but it comes to nothing.

Free kick 30 yards out laid off for Stubbs, deflected wide for a corner.

Corner played short, only half-cleared. West Ham having issues clearing their lines, but they haven't paid for it yet.

West Ham with a pair of early corners, both headed away.

Extended pressure here, but Everton dealing with it so far.

Radzinski played in by Gravesen, but James is off his line quick enough to put the ball out for a throw.

McBride fouled by Brevett, free kick half-cleared. Unsworth's half-volley goes wide.

West Ham wins a corner after a long spell of nothingness ... cleared.

Fugly so far with no continuity for either side.

is this going to be another 1-0 to Everton sort of a game :( we need to start increasing our goal diff. +4 is ok but +7 after this would be much better.

The going won't be easy today, especially with a desperate side like West Ham who've won two straight.

It could very well be 1-0 all over again. West Ham's keeping just one player up front and looking for a quick counter.

McBride wins a corner off of Repka, Gravesen takes it but it's cleared by the first man.

A shot ... how droll. Ferdinand has a go, but it's well over the bar.

    Real snoozer, this.

Gravesen beats two guys off the dribble, but gives it away and gets booked for a foul during the recovery.

    Halftime, 0-0.

It's a good thing West Ham can't do anything, either, because there's nothing going on for the Blues. Mostly just whacking the ball upfield to McBride ... Radz has had almost no service since his header in the second minute.

No changes for Everton, apparently. Hopefully Moyes had some more magic words during his halftime talk.

Ugh ... Stubbs makes a hash of a clearance from a West Ham cross, but it just goes behind for a corner that's cleared.

More of the same so far ... subs warming up for Everton.

Moyes might be using all three subs at once ... Li Tie, Campbell and Rooney all taking the warm-ups off.

Wright out quickly to smother a through ball for Ferdinand.

Sinclair in acres of space, takes a downward header from Ferdinand and puts a good shot on net. Wright with the save, though.

    Get the hook out, Davie!

Moyes makes the subs before a corner, Rooney for McBride, Tie on for Gemmill and Campbell on for Naysmith.

Gravesen with the corner, cleared to the halfway line.

Radz gets in and puts another shot on net, pushed away by James.

Rooney gets to the rebound, but can't get it on net. Energy starting to pick up, though.

Hibbert goes into the book for a foul on Joey Cole.

Watson gets away from two West Ham defenders in the box, but gets the shot all wrong and goes well wide.

City Sport commentators don't sound very upbeat about McBride's chances for a permanent move.

West Ham with another shot over the bar.

Best chance so far ... Stubbs steals in between two defenders, but his header flashes just wide.

    15 minutes to go.
