this should be a good match. everton are dangerous with johnson and yakubu up top and arteta is one of the more dangerous attacking midfielders in the league. I'd like to see nani get the nod over giggs, as giggs form has been anything but inspiring so far. Go United!

So pardon me but will Hargy play for us in this, seeing as he was "injured" for the Engerland games?

I assume Everton will pack the middle and it would be nice to have his energy in midfield.

He may play as he should be sufficiently rested as he played in neither of England's qualifiers.

NM you should not mind as you will still be awake after getting p*****:D

Hargy is listed as doubtful on PhysioRoom.com and so is Giggsy.
Rooney is listed as very doubtful.

I'd love to see Simpson get a shot as Brown has been shite. I also can't imagine Nani not starting.

I think this is the perfect opportunity to play the proper 442 for the ??first time this season??

I wish simpson would start too, but this is Everton. I doubt it.

See even Johno dropped Carrick and he's probably the number one advocate on here. Care to explain johno?

I didn't really drop Carrick. The Simpson is more wishful thinking than anything. I think this is the formation we could really see. Scholes will NOT be dropped by Fergie regardless, of his form. IMO Carrick should start next to Hargreaves especially against top sides. For me, Hargreaves has done an excellent job not only with winning balls up the field (which everyone expected) but also by being in the right place to prevent dangerous attacks through the middle. Say all you want about Carrick, but he's no Hargreaves and despite our lack of goals we've still managed to pick up points this season. I think a great deal of that is due to the stability Hargy provides.

NO Worries for Carrick, the CL starts up next week. Where the 4-5-1 is king

I think O'Shea is doubtful after picking up an injury with Ireland, Staunton suggested it might be a ligament injury.

On a serious note with O'Shea out for a few weeks as well as Fletcher and maybe Hargreaves suddenly an area that seemed to be well covered now seems a bit bare. If Carrick gets injured than the defensive midfield area is very sparce and especially when when we are playing Chelsea next Sunday as well as Sporting Lisbon. Games that do need that terrier-type player to control the midfield.

With O'Shea and Fletch out, maybe Hargreaves as well, I think Darron Gibson ought to be in the squad.

Wayne Rooney and Ronaldo back in the Man United team to face Everton on Saturday

This is where the fun starts, just think 2 games ago we was without Rooney, Ronaldo, Saha and Anderson and with Neville returning in a week things are looking good.

Too early in the season to blood the youngins yet...

Need to play as much of the "new" first team as we can and then add them to the mix as the season progresses...
