http://217.28.130.64/news/article.asp?id=98 Preview package above. Big big big game for the Toffees. Will they get into Europe . . . . . . .?
i'm growing more optimistic about this game as time goes on. a week ago i'd have said we'd have been soundly beaten...now i'm not so sure. looks like they'll be playing carroll, blanc, fortune and another lad from their youth team that i can't remember. our home form is excellent. we're the team that have something to play for. we can do it. everton 4 ever
Agreed completely. Only downside for me is it won't be on FSW. Maybe they'll show it sometime later in the week.
20 minutes in, 1-0 to the good guys! KevCam from a corner. I don't think this was the best day for Everton to re-do the website, to be honest. Took about five minutes to load here at work.
Damn. 1-1 at halftime, thanks to a Beckham special after a(nother) dodgy call from Mike RileyMcFergie'sbitch. What's it cost a club nowadays to have their own personal referee?
C'mon you guys! I've been following your club since January, and saw them take destiny in their own hands! What's three more points?
Laurent Blanc on for ManYoo, that can only be good. Rooney misses from two feet out, not good. Now Rovers are up 4-0 on Spuds ... thanks a lot.
Rooney beats the trap, but misses another one! Now's not the best time to do your Andy Cole impression, Wayne....
Chadwick and Ferguson up front, Rooney playing behind those two. Hopefully that'll allow him to start running at Blanc.
What a suprise, ManYoo with a penalty. Wonder if Reilly has finally felt like he's justified his presence on earth. van Nistelrooy goes to ground (quelle shock! ) and converts the penalty. 2 goals and 12 minutes to go....
Stubbs was booked for the "foul" and Big Dunc was booked for dissent. Guess the ref won't be happy unless he sends someone off ... odd, since Andy D'Urso is at Rovers-Spurs.
Stoppage time now - ManYoo too busy stringing 30+ passes together to notice, probably. Turn out the lights....
Full time at Goodison, 2-1 to ManYoo. The chances were there, though. Definitely not the way you want the season to end, but it is saying something when you're disappointed about finishing seventh.
Certainly is disappointing to lose out on Europe on the final day like this to ManU, but what a great season overall for Everton. Compared to being relegation threatened for the past few years, this is a breath of fresh air for Evertonians I'm sure. Hopefully, it will continue.
i'm slightly disappointed...but i thought the players were a credit to the club today. i've no complaints with the performance (well...excluding the ref's obviously) great season for us. i'm looking forward to next season already
