Highly disappointed the club wasn't at least given a later kick-off time coming off the back of a UEFA road trip. I think that comes into play. The good news is Everton have had their struggles of late and lead the league in points surrendered after taking a lead, so even if Lukaku or someone scores early even Arsenal still has a chance. Some team's karma has to change for this match.

At least Arsenal's options and remaining schedule are clear, so hopefully the lads rally around that. 3-2 to the Gunners.

The Premier League has shown over and over that they do not care about its clubs in Europe.

Do La Liga, Serie A or Bundesliga have this problem? 'Cause they consistently kick the EPL's ass. Maybe we're just not that good of a league.

I don't know about the other two, but La Liga usually tries to find the best times and days for their teams that play in Europe. It's odd that the EPL doesn't do the same

You're right about La Liga actually, most of their games are super late. Like 9 or 10 PM, that definitely makes a difference. The latest EPL kick off is like 8pm...And that's only on week days.

they do in Serie A and Bundesliga. They schedule Friday games to accommodate their teams.

    its not odd.

Premier League is about the TV audiences. These matches get scheduled and they have a build up for them. The fans across the globe do not care about the poor quality of these matches because we still watch.

Yes. Germany and italy do not get nearly the money the prem does for tv. We don't have any right to complain, we take the money and instead of spending it on players to provide depth to compete on all fronts we just pile it up in the bank.

If Arsene said anything to me and I was a prem official, I'd tell him to ******** off and buy more than one player each year.

yeah, its not about Arsenal. Im talking about the league in general.

Fergie used to complain about it and the league told him to do one.

Sure. The league is run by the clubs and each club had a vote on the tv contract. They took sky's money under the terms. They could have imposed clauses for not switching games and allowing teams in Europe changes, but they didn't apparently and took the huge payment instead. Germany's tv deal is a fraction of the EPLs and I'm guessing they have more flexibility.

Imagine beating Southampton, Swansea and getting at least a point in the Man Utd game? We would be going into this game where a draw would be fine but when you play catch up, you can't afford to drop any points. We have made it hard on ourselves really.

If we lose tomorrow, we could potentially be 9 points behind Spurs at the end of the weekend. Yes I know we have a game in hand but I don't see us finishing above Spurs if we continue to drop points. 3 points can be overturned but 6/9 will be too much.

We will be donning our gold/navy strips for this one, and David Ospina will be donning his orange strip in goal, we need some of his international experience to rise to this occasion or else our (slim and none) title hopes will be DUST!!!

    http://www.arsenal.com/news/news-archive/20160316/everton-v-arsenal-matchday-strips

....and not only that, but Mark Clattenburg will be officiating this match, thanks to both the EPL and God that it's not either Mike "I enjoy screwing Arsenal" Dean or John "I call nothing" Moss!!! I wish though it could've been Michael Oliver instead, he is IMHO the best referee in the EPL, bar none.

Yikes wide open so far. 3 shots/chances in the first 3 mins. At both ends.

My biggest concern at the moment is Clattenberg... that he doesn't negatively define this game... he's been off-form of late me thinks.

Quite a lively game. Our players are certainly wide awake and eager. Wish I could say the same about BigSoccer members and this thread. :p

Just saw a glimpse of Danny's raw speed when he tracked back after losing possession. Wow.

Sanchez should've gone down on the initial contact. That was a penalty
