5 minutes. I see a late Dunc header to even it up.

    FT- Everton 1- Villarreal 2

    We need a miracle. :(

Did well but they were quality. Liverpool and Man Utd. would have had an equally tough time today.

The only thing I can say is read Rob Fox's article on Toffeeweb from before the game.
We played pretty well. Could have at least drawn the game, will need to win by two clear ( most probably not gonna happen). All in all big progress for us compared to the last ten years and we gave a good showing after all the experts had us losing big.
Moyes is right not to make panic buys, but we do need a left back badly. I think that Pistone was only offered a better contract because Moyes' search came up empty.

Good PBP. Were you guys listening to the match or watching it?

(I listened via 5 Live and am taping the Setanta replay.)

Well, thats the game over. Whilst we played well we were beaten my a more experienced, and better finishing, team.

We didn't embarass ourselves, as all our usual critics predicted and, at worst, we'll be in the UEFA cup.

There are positives to be taken but realistically it will be hard to make the group stage as we'd have to win by 2 goals in Spain. There's always hope with this team though.

Well, I couldn't follow too closely, but it did sound like you guys put up a good fight. Wecome back to Europe and good luck in the second leg.

Ugh that last minute header really took the wind out of our sails.

But we equipped ourselves well..and I'm still bullish, I still think 2-0

But my mind wavers....I'm unpredictable like that. :D

Listening, switched between 5 live and Everton Radio via website.
Everton had Derek Mountfield, BBC had Peter Reid. Flashback to the good old days!
