I'm looking forward to seeing more of Kebe. He looked deceptive in a way that reminded me of Little. I'd expect him to get stood up, but then he'd be past his marker. By all accounts (he played 84 minutes in tonight's thrashing of Derby's reserves), he is decidedly unlike Little in that he has tons of speed - that is something we could really use. I don't expect him to be a messiah, but like Matejovsky, he shows signs that he could really lift the play of the team.

Second prediction of the thread: by mid-/ end of March everyone will be singing the praises of Coppell's savvy during the transfer window, spending wisely on just two players who help to turn the fortunes of the team.

I absolutely agree with this. Matejovsky has already made a huge impact in the middle. His style of play dictates the pace and allows time for players to move. He controls the ball well which has been lacking for some time. Kebe offers pace down the sides which has desperately been missed. I believe these two players will raise the level of play simply by adding two components that have been missing. In almost any sport, speed kills. It is something that cannot be taught or learned, either you have it or you don't. The other component is ball control which is also needed in every sport. While I am not proclaiming a messiah, I do think the level of play has been raised with Matejovsky and Kebe. Now let's pray that the other players will follow suit and we can get out of the relegation zone.
